Amazing place to stay. Nice and quiet. My wife and I absolutely loved this place. It was perfect. Hot tub was huge. The bed we slept in was sweet. Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away for a few days. We plan on trying to stay here the next time we visit this area. Cape Girardeau is just across the river and has an abundance of places to eat.

Everything was great. We had a wonderful stay The only thing I would add would maybe be to be some spray for cooking maybe shower gel, otherwise it was perfect. Host was excellent! I had flowers sent to the lodge for my girlfriend and they were handled with care. We were greeted by the most affectionate, cutest kitten (Hers-berry). Place was lovely and there was a book for us explaining the history of the family and property. We had an amazing stay. Would definitely come back again!

I can not say enough good things about this property! We were all completely blown away. The location is amazing. Close to everything but still set up and away. It felt like a private oasis truly. The whole inside is decorated in a funky and yet still homey way. I would move in tomorrow if I could. The host was incredible and even checked in on us the first cold night to make sure we had access to heat. It was a perfect weekend and we will for sure be booking the next time we are in town.

Cabin was cozy, clean, and cute as expected from the pictures! This was my first time booking so I was a little nervous, and host was very responsive and welcoming - such an added bonus and level of comfort when you're in charge of organizing!Hot tub, bonfire pit, and record player were all a hit during this girls stay - we even got custom sweatshirts to memorialize our stay!! Amazing private space! We loved the decor and the little details. The guest info book was very helpful and interesting. We spent the mornings on the deck looking at birds and squirrels. A flock of wild turkeys walked past the cabin. Stars were super bright at night with dark skies. This place is the perfect little escape! Thank you!

I grew up here!

Attending family reunion in the Trail of Tears State Forest which was very close by. I grew up only a few miles from there too. BEAUTIFUL location and lots of room! Can't think of any amenities that it did NOT have! Owners were close and very nice people. I hope to stay there again!

Family connection at the Lake

Wonderful property, clean, beautifully decorated.All the basics for light cooking. We checked all the boxes, hiking, wine trail, shopping, relaxed, caught up, played board games and listened to some great vinyl in the evenings.
