Lyxig Oeanfront Cottage erbjuder privata stränder, skogspår och trädgårdar

En del av den vackra Seaward-fastigheten, Rose Cottage (tidigare stugan vid Seaward) är en av de två semesterstugorna på nästan 6 tunnland vilda västkusten vid Otter Point. Stugan erbjuder ett antal imponerande extra: golv till tak fönster på södra väggen med utsikt över Juan de Fuca och olympiska bergen, ett unikt trätak med Sitka gran från fastigheten, golvvärme under skifferplattor, en extra -Stort loft sovrum med en king size-säng och ett andra sovrum med separat ingång. Slutligen tjänar sju massiva cederträar som pelare och knyter stugdesignen tillsammans med arkitektoniskt intresse.
Utanför stugan trädgårdar, skog spår genom salalen till dramatiska utkik, stranden huset och, naturligtvis, stränderna.
Det finns ett komplett badrum på bottenvåningen, och det finns ett pulver rum i loftet sovrummet.

Grounds and location are wonderful; although spartan facility, it was comfortable and help was always available. Good for those who like remote locations and access to ocean. The town of Sooke could use better food markets and restaurants.

A special place

As a family of four with two older teenagers, we thoroughly enjoyed this property. The check in was seamless. The location was incredible, our own private beach with amazing sunsets, a private garden with loungers and wildlife. Bald eagles, hummingbirds, deer, seals and whales. All viewed from the garden. The accommodation was immaculate, it catered for everyone and everything. We used the pull out sofa which helped. All in all, it was fantastic, we didn’t want to leave. Thanks!

Idyllic

Stunning property, great location, pet friendly for my 80 lbs dog who absolutely loved frolicking at the beach. There was attention to detail (I was provided with dog towels, extra fans in case it gets hot and fully stocked kitchen with cutlery and appliances) and very well decorated and furnished cabin. The beach is a short walking distance away with proper marking and great viewing points. Its secluded and private but at the same time accessible with Sooke downtown being 10 mins away.

Beautiful location & well equipped house

We had a wonderful and comfortable stay at the rose cottage. The views are amazing and the access to private beaches makes for easy entertainment for kids and dogs! The bed was extremely comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. It has absolutely everything a family would need. We’ll be back!

Ideal stay for seeing natural beauty

We are a senior couple 79 and 84 years old.One of us has knee "issues" and must go easy.Rose Cottage was an ideal stay for us to enjoy the natural beauty of the area without a lot of walking. Staying at the cottage would have been very satisfying, but we did visit other Sooke natural areas, always so happy to return to the beautiful setting of Rose Cottage.The Cottage is well-equipped...kitchen and library.

Healing and Relaxing

We had a lovely, restful stay. The cottage was very clean and comfortable with a kitchen had everything one could need to make meal prep easy. The views from the cottage were incredible. We loved the short walk to the beach and enjoyed the multiple beautiful sunsets. We also went on hikes exploring nearby beaches such as French and China Beach. This was our second visit to Rose Cottage, and we will be back again.

Wonderful place to stay

We stayed in the Rose Cottage for three nights and could not be happier with the stay. Incredible views, private beach (Rocky, but really fun to explore with our 2.5 year old) and a beautiful cabin to stay in. We would highly recommend this place!

Rose Cottage

Nice & cozy & quiet with great views of ocean. We saw bald eagles flying overhead, bunnies playing in the lawn We made use of wood stove & gas grill. Nice trails leading down to beach. Liked the dual coffee maker, K-Cup or ground coffee.

Seaward Cottages are just amazing

Amazingly beautiful spot right on the ocean

I took my daughter here for reading break. It was exactly what we were looking for and exactly what we both needed. Beautifully built and well appointed cabin with nice privacy. The kitchen was well set up and easy to cook in, and its a nice, comfortable place to read/study. It is a short walk down two wild rocky beaches and on our first night there we were watching the seals feeding in the kelp forest just off the beach. I am always so grateful for VRBO hosts who allow dogs. It was a lovely time away for them as well. Not a criticism of the place at all but a caveat that others might want to know is that my 12 year old dog had a big of a hard time walking on the beach because they are quite large rocks to walk across. Our younger dog did just fine. I would HIGHLY recommend this place and the whole time we were there we were talking about how much we loved it and planning when we could come back.

Christmas by the beach

The cottage is lovely, and the location is superb, with paths to the beach and lovely picnic tables perched on the cliffs above. The wood burning stove was cozy after long walks.

Excellent Location and Ammenities

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about our stay. The location was stellar, the property was amazing, the beach access was great. The only thing that wasn't the greatest was the cleanliness of the floors upon arrival. I don't know if it was the previous occupant had a dog or it was it accumulated over time, but there was a lot of dog hair still on the floor blowing around in clumps and under the reclining chair and couch that you could easily see, so it looked like the floors were not cleaned that well. Amazing overall stay.

Lovely, private beachfront cottage

Rose Cottage is a lovely, contemporary cottage set apart and screened from 2 other similar cottages by lovely, well cared for gardens. Well-marked paths lead to nearby beaches. Everything we needed (and then some) was provided, including a gas barbecue and wood burning stove. The beds are very comfortable, kitchen well stocked. The only downside is the cottage is located very near the road so there is a little road noise. But it’s not a very busy road so that wasn’t a problem. If we stay here again, we’ll rent the Rowan Cottage which is the one farthest from the road.
