âWe were in Kakamega for work and during the weekend we moved to Rondo. This is a lovely and peaceful place, with an enchanting park were it is possible to see monkeys and listen to the songs of a variety of birds. We appreciated a lot the meals (I've asked for vegetarian meals and they was excellent) and the tea with a delicious piece of cake in the afternoons, taken directly to our small but beautiful cottage, despite the rain.â
âThe lady at reception was the only bright spot. She was exceptionally kind and attentive to al our needs. The hotel is dilapidated, dinghy, and depressing. Often there was no water, the hot water was unreliable and intermittent and the nights were filled with constant packs of dogs howling and barking. The hotel is in a very bad area. Big trucks, metal scrap recycling and truck repair happening nearby, with choking dust and smoke.

âThe team at the hotel refused to check in the guest saying that they longer work with Expedia even with proof of payment and confirmation of booking.
The guest incurred losses in terms booking another place. If you longer work with someone remove your property from the platform or communicate your position in that regard. Terribleâ
âItâs hard to tell from the photos and the descriptions, but the higher priced rooms are in a different, much better maintained building than the lowest priced rooms. The bedrooms are nice but the biggest difference between them are the bathrooms. I would have rated it higher if I had stayed in one of the better rooms.
The staff are all very nice and helpful.â
