“Miyama Ouan is the kind of hotels I rarely go to, but where you get everything expected and even more. The service is amazing, the room was simply gorgeous with a private bath, view on the surroundings mountains, and common areas (Japanese bath, TV room, tea room) for enjoying every little minute of the stay. “The resort is surrounded by nature, very quiet and peaceful - perfect if that’s what you’re looking for. It can be a bit inconvenient without a car, but there’s a bus stop right in front of the hotel that runs at specific times and goes to the nearest train station, Shiojiri. The owner was very kind and even offered to pick me up and drop me off at the station, and he also took me to visit the old town, Narai-juku.
