“One of our highlights during the time we spent in Japan. This is a cozy traditional Ryokan. The building is a little older, however that only adds to the charm. Staff were kind, helpful and welcoming. They also offer great dining experiences, where we enjoyed the BEST dinner of our entire trip. Additionally, the private onsen areas were sublime. Views and location is also stunning.

“Miyama Ouan is the kind of hotels I rarely go to, but where you get everything expected and even more. The service is amazing, the room was simply gorgeous with a private bath, view on the surroundings mountains, and common areas (Japanese bath, TV room, tea room) for enjoying every little minute of the stay. The dinner and the breakfast were out of this world, and the Hida beef was just the best beef ever.

“We stayed at this ryokan for 3 nights and we loved it there! It is family driven and has such a lovely and local feeling. Our room was big, authentic and had a really nice onsen. We received the best breakfast every morning, it was the best we ever had. We also had dinner there 1 night, and it was such an experience. Everything tasted amazing and we loved that the ingredients was local and in season. We also got help for activities. ”
