  • Our beautiful traditional Cretan cottage is a home emerged in the typical Cretan Nature. A number of hiking paths for you to explore and experience the glorious Cretan landscape. We are located at Grigoriana village, near the historic village of Kantanos and at a driving distance of the world famous locations of South of Chania such as Elafonisi, Paliochora & more! Home can sleep 4 people in 1 bedroom and 1 sofa bed.

    This is a traditional Cretan cottage located in a picturesque natural environment, able to accommodate up to 4 people in 60m2 of interior space. There is one double bedroom plus one more sofa that turns into a double bed. The outdoor terrace is ideal for relaxing outdoor listening to the relaxing sounds of the Cretan Nature

    Home is suitably located just 9 km from Paliochora village and its numerous crystal clear beaches.

    The kitchen is equipped for preparing your basic meals of the day. All kinds of pans and pots, cutlery and pantry items available. Various small electrical appliances.

    There is a bathroom with shower cabin. Soaps, shampoos and essential toiletries are provided needed.

    The area is quiet for anyone who really wants to relax and enjoy the beauties of the Cretan Landscape and traditional local lifestyle. In the nearby area, you can find a cafe and a mini-market (2km from home). The people of the region are mainly occupied with agricultural and livestock jobs, a simple traditional Cretan lifestyle.

    Nearby attractions: Numerous hikes to follow and unique paths to experience the unique Cretan landscape and its rich flora and fauna. At 9 km of distance, you will find all the world famous locations of South of Chania such as Paliochora beaches and the scenic village with the vibrant nightlife, great taverns and alleys for romantic walks, the Magnificent Elafonisos and Kedrodasos beach. You can also easily reach famous locations of the west of Crete such as Balos sea lagoon, Falasarna and more.

    A car is recommended in order to explore and truly enjoy the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

    *Please be aware that our rates exclude an additional stayover tax. For stays from April to October, the tax is €8 per night, while from November to March, it is €2 per night. Gorgeous hidden gem!

If you want a beautiful location away from the crowds and are happy to drive this is a really stunning villa set in a beautiful garden adjacent to olive groves and orchard with orange and lemons. It is well appointed with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable bedroom with kingsize bed and a large sofa bed. It is spacious and cool in the hot weather. A must for walkers, anyone who loves nature, birds and butterflies. We would highly recommend.

Idyllic, Secluded, Peaceful, Country Perfection!

If you're looking for a quiet, rustic, country escape in western Crete, you have found it! This property is rural and a bit secluded, which gives it its sense of spledid isolation and privacy. You do have to drive a narrow but well maintaned mountain road for about 1.5km off the main road to reach the villa, but you will be rewarded with a magnificent view along the way. A view which you can also enjoy from the vine-sheltered terrace which is the main feature of the property. The villa is built into the mountainside and surrounded by gardens, olive groves and fruit trees, providing an intimate and private setting. The house itself is charming and well appointed; It has everything you will need and was spotlessly clean. There is a full kitchen, bathroom, wifi, tv and laundry available. The bedroom was comfortable and also looks out onto the terrace. The location is, as mentioned, a bit remote (but thats what we were looking for!). There are miles of mountain paths and roads to explore right outside the property gate, but for other excursions, you will need a car. You will likely want to go into Paleochora (about 30 minutes driving) for most errands, however, there is a village store/cafe (about 10 minutes driving) with basic necessities. The hosts were fantastic. Excellent communication and they met us at the property to ensure we had everything we needed. The even provided a few extras: fresh oranges, peaches, preserves and a bit of local raki. Overall: Fantastic!!
