“Very good 4-star (by western measures) hotel. Central location downtown with all highlights, including the Shwedagon pagoda, Scott market and more within walking distance. Fine rooms, with good sound isolation i.e. quiet in spite of the heavy traffic outside of the hotel. Friendly staff, no problem to get late check-out. Very good breakfast and VERY good bed comfort. Probably the best place to stay in downtown Yangon. Very good value for money.”

Relax by the salt water pool, enjoy food and drinks or hang out at the Sarkies bar. This is not the place to pick if you´re looking for the lowest prices. But if you´re searching for a memorable experience in a town on the rise, I can highly recommend The Strand Yangon. If you´re not staying here, at least go for breakfast or drinks.”
