“Great little bungalow tucked away in paradise. Check-in was easy, kitchen supplies were sufficient for the two of us and wifi was more than sufficient. It’s “off the beaten path”, but if you want a touch of tranquil Hawaii, this place will transport you there”

“We chose this lovely home because it is relatively close to volcanoes NP and Hilo, and because the multiple bedrooms worked well for 4 adults and two teens. The tropical jungle forest surrounds the property. It is a couple minutes walk down to a gorgeous black sand beach. The beach requires climbing down natural rock steps, not a problem for us but might be for some. The waves are very big here. The young adults/teens had a blast boogie boarding and playing in the waves, but they took a beating...

“Our stay on Hawaii Island was wonderful. The Balinese style was unique. The location of the house across from a beautiful black sand beach was perfect. We walked to the beach with our morning coffee enjoying the sunrise and then again after our return from being out and about. The climb down can be a bit difficult especially after the rain, so be careful. Point to note, you will encounter people who are nude as this is an optional clothing beach. The fans and the breezes kept the house...

“I was so excited about this house when I booked it and it did not disappoint! The landscaping and pool were incredible and 4 bedrooms with big beds was perfect for us. We loved the pool, fruit trees and coquis at night. Only downsides would be, only 2 bathrooms. A third would’ve been nice, especially for the bedroom that was separated from the rest of the house and the location was a bit far from Hilo but both of those things were worth it for how amazing the house was. ”
