Fall Break
It was a perfect location for Mt Rushmore. Could drop in to the monument whenever we felt like it. Loved the small town atmosphere. The cabin was far enough of the beaten path to feel secluded but located close enough to civilization ❤️it

Cozy Cabin
The cabin was a short distance from Keystone. A nice getaway for the weekend. Nice, warm wood interior. Water pressure was lacking for taking a shower.

Great cabin!
This was a very nice cabin with interesting history. It was very neat and roomy and a perfect location, right outside Keystone. When we got up our first morning, there were five deer and about a dozen turkeys in our front yard. We were only 15 miles from Mt Rushmore! Loved having a washer/dryer. Our hosts provided lots of extras, such as detergent! And coffee! We would highly recommend this cabin!

Great Place, Nice Location
We really enjoyed the cabin in the woods. It was nice to be in a quite place after a day of driving around exploring South Dakota. The place was the perfect size for our family. We enjoyed seeing the horse next door in the morning, deer and turkeys also came for a visit. The place was conveniently located to the things we wanted to see.

Perfect for your family
Great little cabin in the perfect location- easy access to Custer State park and Mt. Rushmore. Our teenagers appreciated the 2 full beds in the second bedroom. The kitchen was well-stocked with some extras that many properties don’t provide. We’d definitely stay here again.

An absolute gem!!
We absolutely loved our stay at the Glendale Cabin!!! We were in town with our Shrine group for an event at Mt Rushmore, and ourselves and another couple stayed on at the cabin after the event.... it was super easy to find in proximity to Mt. Rushmore, as well as to everything else!! And the cabin itself... not only clean and bright and airy... and a perfect location within the Hills... if you like history, this is the cabin for you! With bones from the 1880s and a President having given a speech from what is now the living room (a front porch back then), to the intricately laid stone retaining walls and steps with Mt Rushmore history.... this cabin oozes history (all of which we learned from the excellent reading material provided by Wendy and Doug!) At night, we sat by the fire and watched the beautiful forest give way to the most incredible star-laden sky! We rented a side by side on our second day, and, after seeing amazing Hills scenery, in addition to getting a little muddier than planned, were most appreciative of the on-sight laundry :) The cabin has everything you might need!!! We cannot say enough amazing things about the Glendale cabin and our awesome hosts and are already planning our next trip back!!! Thank you, Doug and Wendy for this 10 star VRBO!! :) :) Love love loved everything about it!!!!!

This is the perfect place for a base camp to hit all the surrounding sites. The beauty of this cabin and surrounding area can’t be described with words. If we are in the area again without hesitation this is where I would stay.

Unbelievably relaxed
This cabin in the hills is perfect to get away from it all; and still be close to it all! The quietest and darkest nights; and wildlife along with the scenery puts you at instant peace. True definition of getaway!

Perfect cabin away from the crowds but close to town
My mom, my husband and I, our two kids (9/11) stayed during late June. Perfect weather! No crowds. Cabin is located minutes from all the attractions, but also nestled away for peace, quiet and privacy. Our family enjoyed the location, we spent most evenings outside making a fire pit, playing a board game, roasting s’mores and enjoying nature. Thanks for letting us stay!

Great Spot in the Black Hills
Our group consisted of our daughter, 3 grandsons, my wife, and myself. The grandsons had a blast being outside and playin the creek. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the cool nights with lots of fresh air. Everything worked fine. *****

Excellent area
The house is in an extraordinary place! Centrally located to all the activities we had planned. Beautiful scenery and the wildlife in the front yard was an excellent bonus! The history of the place made the trip even that much more enjoyable. I will be highly recommending this place to friends and family if they choose to visit the Black Hills.

Loved it!
Perfect for us as grandparents traveling with our 10 YO grandsons. Place was neat, clean and very well taken care of! A great location to all the places but also out from the crowds. We are Texans and like our AC so that was only “small” concern but it was hotter than normal in SD when we stayed. Nothing we couldn’t survive, by any stretch. If ever we get back up there, will stay again!

Great space and environment. Removed from things but also in close proximity to Keystone and area activities. Was perfect for my family of 5. Make sure you hit the Hippie Hole hike while in town.

Excellent Location and Beautiful Cabin!!
highly recommend! You cannot beat this location; one of the cleanest VRBO‘s we’ve ever stayed in. The pictures online do not do it justice!! it’s much nicer in person and more spacious. A nice fire pit outside with wood provided and close access to lots of local tourist attractions. Beautiful property for the kids or to go on walks.

Perfect Cabin!
This property was so clean, cute, and cozy! The location was perfect, as it is central to a variety of different places we wanted to go. Our kids loved the stream and the horse. My husband and I enjoyed sitting by the fire pit while watching the kids run around the large yard. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to this area. Cute cabin in a great location
The cabin is quaint and exactly as pictured. It was clean and well equipped with everthing we needed for a fun stay in the Black Hills. Close to Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park and so much more. The owners were very responsive and showed up within minutes when we needed something. We would definitely stay here again!

Great base of operations.
We came for our first Sturgis rally. Great area to stay amongst the Black Hills. And nice rides up to Sturgis and Deadwood. I recommend this location for All.

Best Location
Location was perfect for our vacation to the area. We enjoyed reading about the history of the property and area in the guest book. The only issue we had (and it was a big one since the temperatures were way above normal while we were there) was the tiny window ac unit could not cool the house down at all. We also were not able to grill the first night since it was out of propane but the owner quickly responded and replaced. Overall great stay!

Mini Getaway
Tucked away in the hills with a quiet, relaxing and homey feel. Wildlife out the front door and the scenery is beautiful. Only downfall was the small window A/C unit to cool the whole place which wasn’t able to keep up with the heat of the summer days. Sleeping was uncomfortable due to lack of A/C. Perfect location to be able to do all the Black Hills adventures!

My family had a wonderful two days in the Black Hills and the cabin was a perfect location to return to each evening. The property was away from the tourist part of Keystone, but central to all the beauty we came to see. We even saw a few deer on the property! We’d definitely stay here again.

Great location
We loved our stay in the cabin. The location was great. We were close to everything. It was nice and peaceful. I enjoyed morning walks and was greeted with amazing views and wildlife. Would recommend this place if you want to stay close to Keystone but not in the center of town.

The Glendale Cabin was even better than the video and photos portrayed. It has so much character, privacy, is well-appointed with basic cooking and baking supplies (pots, pans, dishes, even ingredients), laundry facilities (a huge plus), an amazing propane grill and firepit, and has a cozy feel that makes you want to just stay and enjoy being there instead of getting out in the hustle and bustle of all the tourist attractions and traffic. Yet it's so close to the heart of of Black Hills' best tourist sites. PERFECT CHOICE. Just don't be tempted to use the "shortcut" that Google Maps shows connecting the Presidential Wax Museum/Grapes & Grinds to the cabin (Cemetery Road to Greyhound Gulch Road). It's not only unpaved, it's deeply rutted, steep, and infused with boulders. And you don't find out until about 5 miles into it that the road is gated and therefore impassable. Good luck turning around down there if you don't heed my warning--we found out the hard way!). Just follow the directions provided for you and don't even think about any other route!!!!
