âWe absolutely loved this unique little Inn! The instructions for getting inside and finding the room made us feel like we are on a fun quest.
It was a bit challenging to bring heavy suitcases up the stairs so be prepared.
I wish breakfast had a few simple options and not just pancakes. â
âThe Golden Gables Inn appears to be an older Inn that has been renovated and the room which we were had what looked like all new furniture and the bathroom which was sort of small but again completely renovated. The price was competitive considering that it was peak summer travel period when we stayed. The only thing missing was a breakfast... â
âWe loved our stay at the Snowvillage Inn. It is a renovated historic house with so much character. The room was comfortable and the view was breathtaking. â

âA great place to visit for a family in the summer. Itâs right on the lake, they have paddelboards, canoes, kayaks, fishinggear free to use. There is a nice lawn with lots of garden games, sunbeds, barbecues, firepits and more.
Our room was a bit small for three people and the table only had two chairs. But it worked fine for one nigit. The room was freezing cold when We got there but it warmed up quickly as we turned the heater on, but the bathroom never got warm. â
âJust a beautiful inn set on several acres surrounded by woods. Superb breakfast with many options. Had a veggie omelet as well as a breakfast sandwich both of which were served hot and were delicious. For me, having good lighting in a room for reading is very important and often missed. Not here. There are reading lamps on both sides of the bed with good wattage bulbs. Easy to get to some charming towns around. Excellent internet access.â
âRoom was very clean and well kept. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My children loved the pool and playground. Much more affordable than some of the other nearby places. Close vicinity to Story Land.â
âWe have stayed here 2 years in a row because we love it so much! The family that owns it is so nice and works hard to keep everything running smoothly. The breakfast is wonderful. The rooms are big and well kept and the views are amazing.

âOld Saco Inn in is an excellent family-run hide-out in a besitiful forest, very secluded but still near to most interesting things to do in the Mt Washington area. One of the best places we stayed at, incl. some five-star hotels, on our three week family round-trip in New England.â
