Escape to King’s Beach Cottage, a newly renovated Lake Tahoe retreat for 5! Just minutes from the beach, this charming home features a private cedar hot tub, fenced backyard with a fire pit, and a cozy electric fireplace. Enjoy modern comforts like a fully equipped kitchen, a dedicated office, and a Tesla EV charger. Perfect for families and friends seeking adventure and relaxation in a quiet, convenient location.
We respect our guests' privacy and aim to provide a seamless, independent stay. We will not be present on the property during your visit but are readily available via the messaging app should you need any assistance or local recommendations. We will provide you with a printed house manual and digital guidebook to help answer any questions that may come up. Our team is available 8am - 9pm PT.
Our charming cottage is nestled on a quiet street in a peaceful residential neighborhood, just a short drive or walk from the beach! Enjoy the best of both worlds with easy access to town, the beach, and scenic hiking trails. In the winter, you’re just minutes from Northstar, Palisades, and Diamond Peak, offering world-class skiing. This cozy retreat is the perfect year-round getaway!
Guests will have private and exclusive access to the entire home and its amenities, including the fully fenced backyard and hot tub. A couple of owner's closets will remain locked. For your convenience, a Tesla EV charging station is available for your use (preferably at night).

KITCHEN & DINING:
- Modern, fully equipped kitchen ready for you to cook amazing meals.
- Coffee options include a Nespresso maker and a French press.
BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS:
- Upstairs King Bedroom: A serene space overlooking the backyard.
- Upstairs Queen Bedroom: A lovely room featuring its own work desk.
- A queen-sized air mattress is available for flexible sleeping arrangements.
- Two full bathrooms to comfortably accommodate all guests.
OUTDOOR OASIS:
- Private, fully fenced backyard for relaxation and fun.
- Barbecue for evening cookouts.
- Fire pit for gathering under the stars.
- Life-size games for friendly competition.
- Custom-built cedar hot tub to soak your cares away.
Parking is limited to 2 cars in the driveway. Parking On the Street is Prohibited Year Round.
We donate 1% of bookings to local nonprofit organizations such as League to Save Lake Tahoe and Tahoe Fund!
To ensure a transparent and wonderful stay, please review these important details:
- Hot Tub Cleanings: We schedule hot tub cleanings ahead of all guest arrivals. In the event the hot tub is serviced on they day of your arrival, the spa may still be heating up do to a recent cleaning. If you notice the spa is not hot when you get to the house, please notify us so we can check with the company to confirm this is expected.
- Driveway: Our driveway is gravel and on a slope. Please be prepared to park on an incline, and in the winter months we recommend 4WD or snow tires.
- Hot Tub: The custom cedar hot tub is professionally cleaned weekly and between each guest stay. The natural cedar wood can sometimes give the water a harmless green tint, which does not affect water quality or cleanliness.
- Climate Control: Like most homes in Tahoe, we do not have air conditioning. We provide a portable fan for the lower level and ceiling fans in both upstairs bedrooms. The home does not have central heating, but the electric fireplace and provided space heaters keep it very warm and toasty in the winter.
- Outdoor Furniture: Please be aware that outdoor furniture may be stored and unavailable during the winter months, typically from October to May.
- Mountain Life: Dust and pollen can accumulate quickly on outdoor furniture. The BBQ and other outdoor furniture may be stored and unavailable during winter (typically October- May).
- Weather & Travel: A 4WD/AWD vehicle, chains, or snow tires may be required in winter.
- Uncontrollable Events: We are not responsible for uncontrollable circumstances such as poor air quality during wildfire season or snow during winter. We strongly recommend purchasing external trip insurance, as our cancellation policy will be upheld.
- Safety: The home is equipped with smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, and a first aid kit for your safety.
- Please refer to the Rental Agreement for a full list of the local STR Rules.
- Emergency Power Outage Kit: Located on the kitchen island, this kit includes battery-operated candles, glow sticks, a portable battery, batteries, hand warmers, flashlights, and lanterns to keep you safe and comfortable during power outages.
- Pet fee must be paid prior to arrival. Please be aware that our pet fee is specifically for cleaning purposes.
