  • One of the more unique properties you will find! The old Kingston High School has been restored into a residential space for events and vacations. Your accommodations will be one of the best parts of your visit to the Silver Valley. Just off I90 in North Idaho. For the fisherman: the CDA River is across the street. For the skier: Silver Mtn Ski Resort and Lookout Ski Resort is within 10 & 30 minutes. For the adventurer; thousands of miles of 4wheeling, snowmobiling, biking, and hiking in all directions. Multiple golf courses and casinos nearby as well! Families and group friendly. 1000sf auditorium is perfect for events or large groups! Trailer/RV parking for an extra fee. Owner keeps an apartment on one side of the building, but there is no shared space. Owner's apartment is separated by a locked door, and is used sparingly.

Everything was pretty good, the only issue is I would suggest since there isn’t a stove maybe some better cooking appliances, the hot plate didn’t work super well and the electric skillet didn’t have a cord. We like to cook some of our meals when we stay in Vrbos to save money on getting takeout that’s why we do Vrbo instead of a hotel but this one wasn’t very convenient for doing much cooking. But otherwise we had everything we needed and the place was fun and interesting!

Awesome place!

This is such a fun place to stay with the "old school" vibe! Very clean and the beds were really comfortable. Nice location too! Will stay here again when in the area.

We love the High School

This is our second time visiting because we absolutely love staying here. The location is great. My grandkids love that there is plenty of room to play. We will definitely be staying here again.

Wonderful Stay!

Our group stayed here for an extended time and have already booked another stay in the future. The host was incredible and we truly loved our stay. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Our family of 12 had a really fun time staying at the old school house! It was very comfortable for all of us. The only thing I wished that I had planned ahead better for was the lack of an oven in the kitchen. There was a working hot plate with two burners, however the electric skillet did not have a power cord anywhere that we could find. There was a crock pot in the cupboard, but I never did verify if that worked or not. There was also a working toaster and microwave available. There were lots of folding outdoor tables and chairs that we appreciated the use of so we could eat in the backyard with our local family members. The location was ideal for spending time up on the river as well. Overall, it's a really cool historic building, a comfortable place for a large family or group, and we would definitely stay there again in the future! Thank you!

Cool Reclamation of Historic Building

We enjoyed our stay in The old high school. It is very close to the river and spacious enough for several travelers. To improve it - I wish it had an oven/stove and more outdoor seating options.

Wonderful Stay

We absolutely loved staying at the Kingston School! Our grandkids had a blast and couldn’t wait to get back in the evening to play school. The location was in the middle of the sights we wanted to see. We will definitely be back.

Such a unique place! It was very cool to see the historic artifacts from the old school. The location was very convenient, 10 minutes to Kellogg / Sliver Mountain ski resort and waterpark. Everything was just as described, and we found everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. Our friends bailed and we ended up having the whole school for just the two of us. We slept in the Study Hall. I wish there were a dining table closer to the kitchen and it was a bit odd to have both bathrooms off the study hall, but it worked well for us. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Overall we had a great stay!

Location AWESOME. We loved the high school home. Beds were so comfortable!! Communication with Host was great! Thank you so much! Everything was awesome about this home , love hearing the history from locals and so friendly people of Kingston! Definitely planning our next visit to Kingston and staying at the high school!!!

Our family gathering

This unique historic schoolhouse takes you back in time. We enjoyed the firepit, the spacious gymnasium and old wooden stage. We did karoke and set up our projector. We cooked breakfast. Ate at historic snakepit.
