Detta hem är lika avstånd mellan de historiska städerna York, Maine och Portsmouth, NH, var och en är bara cirka 5-6 miles bort, och naturligtvis nära det berömda Kittery Outlet många fler underbara saker att göra! Försedd privat tillgång till en stenig strand mot det öppna Atlanten, bara 300 meter bort och med den vackraste utsikten, perfekt för att njuta av en picknick. Hemstedsruiner, från ett gammalt 1600-talshem inklusive en granitfodrad brunn, finns fortfarande på fastigheten, så ta med dig din metalldetektor!

Fastigheten gränsar till historiska Fort Foster med miles av vandringsleder anslutna till denna fastighet tillbaka för promenader, mountainbike, vandring och längdskidåkning! Vandra en mil ut genom din trädgård, genom vackra stigar som förbinder dig till Fort Foster och det är underbar strand, lekplats och historiskt fort, eller kör 2 milslingan till det berömda fortet. Gå till Seapoint Beach, bara 7/10 mil och mindre än 10 minuters promenad genom detta underbara område eller ta några av cyklarna.
Detta är tillgången till den privata sidan av Seapoint Beach, känd som Crescnt Beach, inte till den offentliga sidan, därför är den också mindre trångt.

The location of this home is lovely and quiet. We enjoyed visiting all the nearby towns, great restaurants and lots to do. The home is not well cared for, it needs a deep cleaning and a lot of maintenance work completed. Too many things were in poor condition that i would not recommend staying here.

This is a lovely quiet neighborhood on the Maine coast.Great house with plenty of room. We used the kitchen in the main house, but the kitchen in the guest house also seems excellent. The rocky beach is a short walk away and the swimming beach is only about a 10-minute walk or short bike ride. The couches in the living room are great for reading/napping.We found the tools we needed in the kitchen, though it's not always easy to find them -- keep looking!The grill is also great -- we grilled chicken and steak very sucessfully. Do let the grill warm up for a while before you put the meat on though.

Location and Space

This house fit our needs, especially with space. There was room for everyone, and everyone had room to breathe. The outside spaces were great too, as they were large and everyone could fit. There were 12 of us and we were able to fit at the dining room table when we ate inside. That was very nice. We were not able to use the drinking water and the shower water did leave some material, for lack of a better word, on our skin and on some of our clothes. This did not ruin our stay, however, and I do know that the water was treated when we were there. Sometimes it just takes a few days to kick in. This is something we also encounter at home and have filters on all of our water. I cannot express how great the communication was with the owner and he even went above and beyond and sent back a mug that one of my party members had left behind. I thought that was very nice. I also cannot express the area and how beautiful it was. The water looked so clean. I included a few pictures that I took on a run.We went down to their local beach and saw the parade of dogs every day before 10 and after five when they are allowed. We met some very nice people. There were a ton of bikes and we used them almost every day. Also, there were plenty of towels and linens and two washers and two dryers.

Multi-generational family vacation.

This was our annual family vacation with grandparents, adult children and their spouses and 4 grandchildren. The house was very well equipped with lots of kitchens gadgets. We made use of the smoker, bbq, hot tub, record player, metal detector. It was nice to have all the bicycles and beach chairs. The grandkids enjoyed the toys. Tim's writeup on the house, and things to do in the area were great to have. We visited many of the places he mentioned.The house did have some cleanliness issues. Surface cleaning was good but several of the rooms had cobwebs, and needed some additional deep cleaning.Mosquitos were there so bring your bug spray.We did enjoy the area. Lots of see and do.

Exceeded our expectations

We had such a fun week. The home is close to Portsmouth and York. We spent a day in each place. We also swam, fished and walked the dogs on the nearby beaches. We bought fresh seafood and cooked it in the very well stocked kitchen. The hot tub was relaxing and the sauna was the exact one that is at the Cliffhouse Spa!! Communication was great and check-in a breeze. We highly recommend.

Relaxing Stay in a Beautiful Setting

We had a great week at Sea Gables. Gerrish Island is a terrific place to unwind and connect with nature. The house is large and well-appointed with just about anything you could need especially in the kitchen. The only drawback was that the professional cleaners could do a more thorough job ensuring it was move-in ready. We had to do a once over cleaning after we arrived. Tim the owner was great with communication and very helpful with suggestions of what to do and what to see in the general area.

Wonderful Family Holiday!

We really enjoyed our stay in Kittery Point! The house was perfect for our family and we really loved the location. It was also so nice to be nestled in the trees after being in the sun all day at the beach! The layout was perfect for our family so my parents had their own space 'separate' from us. There were lots of games and activities that occupied the kids. We appreciated the small touches of kindness from the owners, such as the fresh flowers, soap and waters... Thank you! We spent our days exploring Portsmouth, York, Ogunquit and Kennebunkport, all of which were super convenient to get to from the property! We will definitely be back again!

GREAT vacation spot and GORGEOUS house!

We had a wonderful stay last week and we’re blown away when we arrived. The owners really thought of everything you need and went above and beyond. The house was well equipped and clean. We had 6 adults, 3 teens, and 3 children five and under, and it accommodated all of us. The local beaches are rocky, as noted in the listing, so keep that in mind. But there are several sandy beaches within a short drive or biking distance. Make sure you get some lobsters from Off the Boat Lobsters. We had them cooked and picked up to bring back. Delicious! Would recommend this location and stay again.

Second amazing stay in Kittery

We absolutely love this house and just enjoyed our second summer vacation here! We were a group of 8 adults and 2 kids. The house is clean, spacious, and well stocked. We love morning coffee on the deck and porch, and evenings in the hot tub and having drinks around the fire pit after days at the beach. We cooked 6 out of 7 nights at the house, including our favorite lobster dinner and stuffed clams from off the boat lobsters. The house is close to many beaches, our favorites being seapoint (free) and fort foster ($20). The master suite is such a treat for us with a huge cozy bed and great bathroom. We hope to be back again!

Wonderful Family Vacation

When we first arrived at the house, I was in awe - so much space, beautiful setting, fully outfitted for any activity. There is so much to do in the house and in the area; bikes, hot tub, games for the kids. The living room and dining area are perfect for family gatherings - plenty of room for everyone and lots of room to have quiet time if wanted. The nearby beaches are stunning. Our dog loves to go to Seapoint Beach (before 10 am) and be off-leash and free to frolic with her new best friends. Highly recommended!

This house was amazing! It had everything we needed for our family and much more! The location was perfect and private and very well maintained! Even with the first two days of rain we were able to play corn hole on the spacious front porch. I cannot say enough about this rental! Thanks Tim for helping to make memories for my family to last a lifetime 👍👍

Wonderful place to stay

This is an extremely well appointed, interesting, and beautiful place to stay. Lots of sleeping options for a big family event. The home is offered as if you were invited to stay with the owners of the home because almost nothing is "locked away". You truly have access to everything you might need and then some. The locations is lovely. Access to the 2 beaches is relatively easy and amazingly exclusive. This is probably one of the best rental homes I've ever seen. Thank you! #wortheverypenny

Absolutely loved our vacation

We rented this house for a week for a family and friends vacation with adults and kids. The house is so well made and has everything you could need on vacation. The house is huge and everything is spread out so everyone had space for quiet time if they wanted a break from the group. We really utilized all of the spaces in the house, from the front porch for morning coffee and reading and afternoon margs and chips; the back deck for evening fires, lobster dinners, grilling, and hot tub time, to all of the porches and indoor spaces for spreading out. My favorite part of the house is the kitchen. We love to cook and we made almost all of our meals (for a large group!) at the house. The beds were the most comfortable I've ever stayed in at a rental house, and the master suite was such a treat. We checked out the local beaches, spending evenings at the rocky beach nearby, and spending days at either Fort Foster (perfect for the kids with the shallow water, crabs and sealife, and playground), seapoint which was great if you can get a parking spot, and walking to crescent beach (check the tides before you go to make sure you have time!). We had a very hot week with temps getting into the 90s some days, and the house stayed wonderfully cool inside. We can't wait to come back!!

An amazing property!

Our group of 14 family members found Seagables a wonderful base for a week in Maine. Gerrish Island is charming, and the rental property is on a lovely property at the end of the road. There is plenty of space for large group meals and gatherings, plus many indoor and outdoor places for a quiet conversation or a good book. Everything in the houses was designed to pamper us, from gorgeous flower arrangements to luxury linens and handmade soaps to books, toys, and games for all ages. We practically lived on the huge back deck, taking advantage of the hot tub, the fire pit, and the outdoor kitchen with grill. But the large, shaded front porch was perfect on a rainy afternoon or quiet evening. If you like to cook, you'll revel in the very well-equipped kitchen and its Viking range and two refrigerators. Tim, our host, was a joy to work with, answering all our questions promptly and accommodating us in many ways during our visit. We couldn't have been happier with our stay here!

Amazing in every way!

The perfect place to create loving memories with family! We celebrated a milestone birthday with 3 generations of family members gathered together. You'd think that many people with a wide age gap would have someone not having their needs met within the week's stay. Not so. We took full advantage of main house and the guest house to spread out. Multiple front porches, a generous deck, plus a tranquil side flower garden meant everyone could find a quiet nook that suited their personality for a bit of down time. The large dining room / living room meant the entire family could gather together for meals with ease. The provided amenities go above and beyond what is listed in the description. We arrived to a stunning bouquet of flowers that lasted all week long, plus soap/lotion baskets in each bathroom. The kitchen is not only fully stocked with what you would expect, but each time we thought it might be nice to have XYZ kitchen gadget that we have at home to make cooking this particular thing, lo and behold, we found it! Immersion blender for creamy milkshakes? Not only provided, but one in each kitchen! Are you a coffee snob? No worries, there were 4 different ways to make your morning cup of joe. We did communicate with the host and the caretaker a few times during our stay. We found them both to be extremely prompt in replying, polite, kind, and very understanding. The same can be said for the questions we had prior to our arrival. The comprehensive house book had excellent To Do recommendations. We found the food tips, both on eating out and grocery shopping to be spot on! We left the stay feeling like the hosts would be someone we would like to know in real life, as our taste in food and kitchen gadgets were eerily similar. My wish for small changes for a future stay would have been a curtain in the guest house room that faced the deck and more towel racks in the guest house. If the person sleeping in that bedroom went to bed while the deck lights were still on that room was rather bright. However, that plethora of kid friendly toys (Legos, Magna Tiles, coloring books, sharpened colored pencils in every color imaginable, games for all ages, and more) the generous amount of clean bath towels, kitchen towels, dish soap, laundry detergent, the list could go on, more than made up for the any of the reasons we contacted the owners. I sincerely hope we will be back in the future. This a property not to be missed!

Benjamin family vacation

We had a really nice time! There was a lot of us but the house and the second house worked out great, The outside space was wonderful too. Plenty of room to gather and if you needed time alone you had space for that too. Short drive to great restaurants to eat out or bring back. Thank you for the fun experience. Celia

Wonderful family vacation spot

Our family (10 adults, 20 months old and a family dog) stayed at this house. It is wonderful: great location, amazing kitchen and a lot of spaces to hang out as a whole group or break out for "me" time. We loved hot tub and dining on the back deck. We enjoyed the ocean breeze on the front porch and second floor balcony. A short walk to a beach was also very pleasant. The owners "House Manual" was also very helpful: lots of information about the area, where to go and what to do.

Great but...

House & location were beautiful. Tim was great to work with & always available. Overall it was a great experience despite dishwasher being broken for our entire stay, and several of the amenities being in pretty rough shape ( smoker filled with mold & bar-b-q with broken and empty tanks and quite gross inside (likely from previous renters). We all made the best of it and again, overall experience was fine.

Family time in Kittery

Fantastic stay at this wonderful house. Lots of room to spread out but also great areas to come together as well. Great house full of amenities such as hot tub, sauna& fire pit to name a few but also super clean and comfortable as well. Had a few minor problems and the owner was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
