This was everything I expected and more. We were down there for my sons wedding, which was at the Hilton a block away. On the beach. This house is absolutely perfect. I will definitely be renting this every time we come to Kitty Hawk, which I like to do once a year by the way, it was beautiful and perfect.

Perfect relaxing vacation
Our stay was perfect! The kitchen had everything we needed and some. Every bedroom was clean and the beds were comfortable. The hot tub was clean and well taken care of, which was perfect after a long day of enjoying the town. At the house you could watch the waves from the front window from across the street. Beach access was only 3 houses down. We really enjoyed that everything that we needed was available for us which made the vacation easy. There were bikes to borrow, two beach carts, plenty of sand toys, beach games. The host was very attentive with any questions we had along the way.

Family vacation
This house was everything and more that we could have asked for , contact with the owners was easy and they were quick to respond - we had a chair that was broke when we got there and within 15 minutes a new chair was brought in ! There was more than enough room for all of us - 5 adults and one child . Beds were comfortable , each room with tvs so everyone could watch what they wanted .We celebrated Easter and had a bunch of family over and there was more than enough room for everyone ! The bikes and all the accessories for the beach were right there to be used . You are within walking distance to the beach and a few minutes from the grocery store . Overall the location of this house is excellent ! Thanks for a great stay ! We look forward to renting again !!

Excellent home and accommodations!
We rented the place for 4 nights to celebrate ny granddaughters upcoming high school graduation. The home was perfect for us and right across the street from the beach. We could see the ocean from the kitchen and dinner table windows! The place was very clean (that says a lot because I am a bit of a clean freak)! The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, flatware, and top end appliances. The showers were hot and the beds were comfortable. I highly recommend this home. In the center of OBX, it was easy to to day trips up or down the coast. The owners responded within a reasonable time on the one occasion we reached out. One of the best places we've rented at a reasonable price to boot!

Perfect Spot!!

Sibling getaway
My sister, brother, and I had a great time. The location was absolutely perfect. We loved sitting on the deck and being able to see and hear the waves. It was a very short walk to the beach access. The cottage was beautiful, and all the beds were comfortable. Being older, we especially enjoyed the reclining furniture. The interior and exterior pictures on the website were spot on. On the one day that we had rain, we had a blast playing corn hole on the lower level covered area. Communication with the owners was a breeze-they were friendly and welcoming!

Wonderful vacation
What a wonderful place to stay in Kitty Hawk. Right across the street from the beach. Nice bedrooms with comfy beds. Plenty of space for 6 adults and 3 grandkids. The pool in the backyard is a nice treat. Brad and Rhonda are super sweet hosts.

Cozy house in a great location
Our family of 7 adults enjoyed our stay in this cozy, comfortable home that was close to the beach. The kitchen was especially well stocked for cooking meals and the open layout of the home made it possible for us all to eat together even when additional family staying near by joined us. We also really appreciated the beach towels and equipment- beach chairs, wagons, umbrellas and paddle board. This house contained lots of thoughtful details and amenities.

Location, location, location!
This is a wonderful cottage! So many toys and extras are available for you to use! Communication with the property owner was very easy. The home was clean upon arrival and is just as pictured in the listing. The house is very close to the beach, restaurants, shopping… it’s a long list! That made our vacation so nice as we were juggling many ages of kids and naps!

Weekend Getaway

Location, location location.
First off, the house had everything one would need to feel like they were home away from home. The suite was a also a bonus we didn’t know we’d need. My daughter is autistic and was having a bad week. We were able to stay in there with her, and no one could hear her crazy screams. This honestly shocked us haha. Since we were meeting up with my family, this lessened the stress of having to put them through that. Then there’s location. It was close to everything, which was convenient. Then not too far from places like duck and Corolla to sight see. Loved also being right next to the ocean. With all the toys offered to burrow during our stay, this made it our experience that much better. Would stay again.

Perfect location!
We loved staying in Kitty Hawk and this house was in the perfect location! Lots of beach gear provided and well stocked kitchen. We had 7 in our party and had plenty of room to have 2-3 more people if we needed. Our oldest teens stayed in the detached room and it was perfect for them since it has a bathroom and kitchenette. Would stay here again!

Communication with Property Owner
The property was very nice, cleean, and in a good location. Communication with the property owner(s) was problematic at times. Questions or communication through the Vrbo site were answered at times by someone supposedly not the one who should be answering or communicating. Actually calling Brad at the phone number listed resulted in immediate solving of any problem, and apologies. Hopefully, that has been resolved.

Post Hurricane Ian visit
Our booking was scheduled for 10/2/22 - right after Hurricane Ian hit. We debated for several days whether to go or not. The property manager understood our concerns and was very helpful in keeping us updated on the weather conditions. In the end, we decided to go, and am very glad we did. The weather wasn’t ideal for a beach vacation, but our group had a good time anyhow. This is a wonderful beach home, and is very well equipped with just about anything you need. We had one small issue with some lighting, but the owner came right away and took care of it. Actually it was more user error than it was a problem. Our view from the front deck to the ocean was great. We really enjoyed the hot tub. They pool looked very nice, but it wasn’t swimming weather. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent this property again, and recommend it!

Excellent home, across the street from the ocean
First, the location is great, across the street from the beach. We wanted to be near the ocean instead of near the sound. The house itself is clean, has a functional floorplan, and is in great condition. We appreciated how well stocked the kitchen is. But the reason we picked this place was the extra toys and amenities. Since we'd flown in, we really appreciated all of the extras like beach chairs and beach towels. (This is a very rare perk that we really appreciated!) They also had bikes. Again, this is an extremely rare feature. We had a small issue, and the hosts were very responsive, and went way above and beyond to resolve it for us. It was unexpected, and truly appreciated! We also liked having a washer and dryer. We packed and planned for doing laundry halfway through the trip. Again, just another convenience that made our trip even better. And did we mention the jacuzzi?? This was the cherry on top. We would definitely stay here again, and would highly recommend it.

Location, location, location... did I say location?
What else can I say about this wonderful property that hasn't already been said? Just a few minutes from the Wright Memorial Bridge, this rental is right in the center of all the action! Happy Endings is a quaint property with all the amenities our group needed to enjoy our stay in OBX located just a stone's throw from the beach! Above ground pool, hot tub, easy to access apartment-esque living quarters downstairs with extra fridge, bathroom with shower, and a bed. Upstairs, in the main part of the house, 3 sizeable bedrooms perfect for accommodating any group with kids or not (ours was adults only)! Plenty of seating for for meals with a large dining room table and bar seating as well. Brad & Rhonda were phenomenal hosts and were quite assertive to our needs via calls and text messages! Can't wait to book again for next year!

Love a short walk to the beach.
The home was the cleanest property we’ve ever rented! All the beach accessories available for use, bikes and stand up boards. Leave all that stuff at home just bring your clothes! And you gotta love a short walk to the beach. We had a great time.

Not the place if you have kids.
The problem we had was all the rules. They don’t want anyone coming into the house wet or with sand on them because of wooden floors. There is an outside shower but it’s not enclosed so it was hard to follow these rules. Also kids not allowed in the hot tub even with the temperature down. It’s billed as 4 bedrooms but they don’t tell you the one bedroom is downstairs and you have to go outside to go upstairs. The bed in this room was only suitable for kids but we would never have our grandchildren sleep separate from us. My wife couldn’t get up and down the ladder for the pool. Having the owners right next door and all these rules made us feel nervous. When we pay $5,000 for one week we want to relax and enjoy ourselves. We were disappointed.

I am Saddened that you didn't read the Ad clearly stating description of all spaces and amenities. Ad fully states Downstairs unattached suite with loft bed and futon with full bath. Ad fully states above ground pool has ladder. Ad fully explains that hot tub is for adult interaction. Your sons fully jumped on sides of pool and scaled into the pool unsupervised before you even attained pool code for ladder. Rules you were privy of, state that this is a breach of safety rules and pool privileges will be lost yet, we didn't enforce! We should have enforced it. You never showered off before entering pool and pump became clogged and took Brad 3 hours after you left to unclog. You soiled my comforter with blood or something red and didn't even tell us about it. I didn't even charge you... You dropped sticky red gel all over every single bit of outdoor decking which attracted insects and didn't even bother to wash off. You didn't alert us to the chain that came off the bike (tools for fixing simple things are located right beside bikes) and Brad had to fix when in a rush in between check in check out on saturday after you left. Bikes are checked every week. I even gave you 5 stars. WE WEREN'T EVEN HOME DURING YOUR STAY EXCEPT THE CHECK IN DAY! WE WERE IN OCRACOKE FOR OUR ANNIVERSARY! Please try to find a beautiful home next time that allows children to go unsupervised and undisciplined. Proverbs chapter 6 you should know this proverb, you are a pastor!

Perfect house for a perfect week
5 stars really isn’t enough, but it’s all I’m allowed. Even before checking in Brad and Rhonda made us feel like family. They researched fishing excursions, sent us a list of favorite restaurants, and cool places to visit. The house was clean, inviting, and had EVERYTHING the 9 of us needed. The view of the ocean while drinking my coffee was a plus and the double rainbow (which Brad sent me a picture of to make sure I didn’t miss) over the house was the cherry on top of an amazing week! So thankful that we found this home for our family vacation!!

Wonderful OBX experience!
My husband and I traveled with our children and my husbands parents. It was located in a wonderful spot and so close to the beach. We didn’t need to go out to do anything because Brad and Rhonda provided everything we needed. The pool was a great way to end the day after the beach. We could relax and enjoy ourselves. Rhonda and Brad were so quick to get back to us and we’re really helpful but not intrusive. My father-in-law Ed enjoyed their company thoroughly and loved talking to Brad and Rhonda. We would love to stay again, but it may not be enough room to meet our needs. We couldn’t have my in-laws stay in the apartment area, so my husband and I slept there. It wasn’t ideal for me climbing up to the bed, but I wouldn’t let my elderly in-laws stay there and I certainly wouldn’t let the kids stay there. But it was only to sleep so it didn’t ruin my stay. Special thanks to Rhonda and Brad for making my daughter so happy to look after the rabbit and for enjoying my father-in-laws stories! 😊

Amazing Stay
Much like everyone else, we had a wonderful stay. The ratings don't do the experience justice and I wish we could have given more than five stars. First, the house was pleasant and clean. The view was very nice. I did not know how clear the ocean would be, but it was very easy to see. The porch was nice to sit up on and the window's gave a good morning view. The beds were comfortable and the house had all the items we needed. The TVs were very easy to use and there were fans in each room, along with an easy to use thermostat. The hot tub was nice as well. Second, the location was great. We were a little nervous about it being crowded, but we did not experience crowds (we went in early May), nor noises. It was a very short walk to the beach. We also liked being close enough to stores and restaurants and the other OBX locations. Lastly, the hosts were very attentive to us. From even before the trip, they communicated very well and were warm and friendly. When we arrived, they had nice music playing on each tv. They are very detailed oriented and lived/stayed next door so if there were any issues, they were quick to help. Their welcome/instruction book was also pretty thorough. In fact, when they heard I was sick one day, they went out of there way to offer us a special treat. They are very kind. Overall, we had a great experience and plan to go back soon! A couple things to note: 1. The XBOX only had games for Mature audiences so our kids were unable to play because of our personal rules. If you are interested in the Xbox, you might want to bring your own games or speak to the hosts. 2. As mentioned, they are pretty specific in expectations. We did not mind at all. There was a little more cleaning than we were used to with a VRBO, but again we did not mind and appreciated the no cleaning fee.

Great hosts, great location
We stayed over a long weekend with family visiting from out of state. A very short walk to the beach and very family friendly. The host was more than acoomodating with the kids despite being under the weather the weekend we visited. Plenty of beach chairs/toys included saving us time and space when packing our stuff. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

Great Beach Getaway!
We decided to try OBX for a spring break getaway this year, and we had a great time! The grandkids enjoyed the aquarium, sand boarding at Jockey Ridge, putt-putt, fishing and just playing on the beach. The house was SO clean and the hosts are extremely gracious and hospitable. We really appreciated having use of the beach chairs and wagon as we took the short walk to the public beach access. Only wish we had booked for longer!
