"What an amazing stay we had! All the modern amenities within a cozy and private cabin. Perfect location for hiking and exploring the surrounding trails and towns. "We share the positive reviews of many aspects of this property. It's very spacious (although the swing of some doors cause odd pinch points). We were only three, and would have used only the ground floor but for an issue (see later). The kitchen is well equipped, the induction stovetop was great to cook on. The location is properly noted, but Marie's L'épicerie in the village was closed for August vacation. (Which I imagine is an annual event.) That meant we needed to drive 6+ km for morning...

"Charmingly appointed studio uphill from town of Lenzkirch in Southern Black Forest. Private balcony with nice views was perfect for breakfast and sitting in the evening. The only slightly minor initial inconvenience was having to get the key at a different location. Owners Christine & Gunther were very easy to communicate with and provided many local suggestions via the rental guidelines which they kindly translated into English before our arrival. :) ‘Loved our stay in the Black Forest!!"

Transparency on costs per night: apparently price on Vrbo is for 2 persons, with each additional person at 15.80USD per night on my booking. Cleanliness: Living room sofa was full of hair from a previous occupant. The bed in the childrens room had traces of confetti or sweets from a previous occupant. Communication: Nothing...

"We had an event to attend in Basel and we picked Carat hotel (in Germany) . Such a good decision, big clean, light room, very clean and comfortable but above all very good service from the staff. Leon at the reception helped us with all our needs and George organized an amazing ack breakfast for my wife who had to leave very early in the morning. Their in house restaurant Hacienda is very good also. we had breakfast there. "
