The Hammock Villa is an elegant modern home set amidst huge granite boulders on a steep south-facing hill and is shaded by mature palm and mango trees, a pool, and uninterrupted beautiful sea, island, mountain, and jungle views. the wonderful open-tread wooden stairway takes you down to the huge 10 by 15 meter wide totally undivided main floor of the home opening directly onto the newly renovated and large sundeck which runs across the entire frontage of this amazing home with its two 100-year-old Mango trees and the hammock, all our years as owners, not one single new guest has been able to suppress a gasp of wonder at the rare beauty of the shoreline and glittering seascape which unfolds before them as they descend these stairs.
To the right at ground floor level is a large kitchen boasting the most modern conveniences, granite workbenches, Franke gas cooktops, air fryer, and oven, and the adjoining dining area which in turn opens out to the fabulous sundeck and its wonderful sea views. To the side of the beautiful open-plan living area, double doors give you access to a beautiful pool in lush serene gardens again with wonderful sea and island views.
Hammock Villa is located in the central part of the southern coast of Koh Samui, known as Laem Set, a peaceful area because of the absence of high-rise buildings and commercial development.
This amazing property, built with love fifteen years ago, is NOT a California bungalow! This is a brilliantly crafted and very special modern family home constructed on possibly the most favored block in the Santikhiri Estate due to its elevation, its privacy, its uninterrupted all-day sun, and mesmerizing views. Not to mention the stunning nightfalls as the burning sun dips slowly into the welcoming sea.
Hammock Villa with instructions to their architect to use the best available materials; preserve as many trees and flowering bushes as they could on the property; and make maximum use of large shaded rooms, very open plan designs, and natural breezes in order to keep the home as cool and as naturally fresh as possible. The effect is stunning – all year round the only sounds residents may hear are the birds singing, a gentle breeze blowing, and the soothing splashing of a tidal sea.
Please note there is no air conditioning in the living areas.
The area has one long sweeping, uninterrupted beach for several kilometers ending with the Laem Sor Pagoda and Temple on the southwestern end. There are a few small fishing villages and secluded seafood restaurants located nearby. This area will continue to keep its natural charm and peaceful ambiance because the people coming to this area and owning property have chosen to reject big development and keep an exclusive and natural setting.

This area is now known for its yoga retreat centers and the meditative quality that is protected in residential developments and resorts. Located very near Hammock Villais Asia’s number 1 award-winning health & wellness resort Kamalaya. Several other very discrete and small resorts and a number of luxury villas are located along the coast but none of these resemble the major and typical resort areas of the island at Lamai and Chaweng.

This area is located 15 minutes from Lamai Beach, a well-developed tourist center with all the usual resorts, restaurants, and entertainment that one would expect.

Koh Samui International Airport (USM) and Chaweng ‒ the commercial center of the island, are located 40 minutes to the northeast.

All the shopping and other amenities including excellent health care are located close by.
Hammock Villa has a maid who lives onsite, complimentary pickup and dropoff from the airport/ferry.
Breakfast will be served daily.
Tik, the maid is available to cook you a lovely Thai meal on request.
A 4WD is available for hire and will be required to access the estate.
