Welcome to Joiku Resort, completed in October 2024. With its clean design, towering ceilings, and expansive glass walls, this villa brings the beauty of Lapland right into your living space. Set by the iconic Ylläs swing and Äkäslompolo lake, it`s a prime spot for Northern Lights viewing. Ski tracks pass by in winter, and the village’s shops and services are just a short walk away, offering a blend of serene nature and convenience that’s ideal for a relaxed, unforgettable holiday.

This thoughtfully designed villa blends natural materials like dark wood and limestone-inspired granite ceramics, creating a warm and inviting space curated by an interior designer. With a layout centred on comfort and socialising, it’s a perfect base for enjoying Lapland’s unique atmosphere.


Living & Kitchen Area

The ground floor features an open-plan kitchen and spacious living area, where high ceilings and large windows allow natural light to fill the space. The kitchen is both practical and stylish, with ample storage, integrated appliances including coffee machine & high quality coffee bean grinder, as well as a high-quality induction hob, and a hidden breakfast cupboard. Step out onto the full-width terrace, ideal for unwinding after a sauna.

The bath and sauna facilities are conveniently located on the ground floor, making it easy to step out onto the terrace or cool off in the lake nearby.

An alcove with a sliding door downstairs offers added flexibility, along with a cosy additional bedroom.


Eco-Friendly Design

Built with energy efficiency as a priority, the villa is powered by a water-air heat pump and equipped with solar technology, ensuring an environmentally friendly stay.


Location

Located in the village of Äkäslompolo near Yllästunturi Ski Resort, this villa offers easy access to bus routes from Kittilä Airport and Kolari train station. It’s a convenient spot to experience Lapland’s natural beauty.


Private Beach Sauna Experience

From January-February 2025, guests can rent a private beach sauna on the lakefront. This setup includes a Drop Design jacuzzi on the terrace by the lake, where you can alternate between the sauna’s warmth, an icy lake dip, or a soak in the jacuzzi—a memorable way to enjoy Lapland’s winter setting.


Important Note

Please be aware that the resort is currently finalising extension works next door. While there won’t be any heavy or loud construction noise, there is a chance of some daytime noise during working hours. We aim to keep any disturbance minimal, ensuring you can still enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay.

The villa is exclusively yours, without interruption during your stay, so relax, unwind, and make yourself at home.

Other than the already mentioned amenities, our home is also equipped with fast Wi-Fi, underfloor heating, and a washing machine

For hiking and biking enthusiasts, trails from the Ylläs-Pallas National Park begin on the eastern side of the lake.
