Great hospitality
Great staff, hotel, service & cleaning. Fresh and nice rooms. The owner and the staff was extremely sweet, welcoming and nice. Would stay there again if we’re coming back.

Lovely hotel!
The hotel was great! Clean, modern and very friendly staff. The hotel is pretty close to the water and a super cozy boardwalk that leads straight into Kotor. As i understand it the area is in general pretty low on beaches and most of the bathing is done on piers and small stretches of rubble. I wouldnt book a weeklong beach vaycay in Kotor, but I really recommend a couple of days in the Kotor bay and to explore it by car.

Trevligt o välkomnande
Rent o trevligt. Fantastisk personal som månade om sina gäster. Nära till stranden. 25 min promenad utmed vattnet till gamla staden Kotor. Fin o lummig trädgård. Tyvärr fanns ingen hiss.

Peaceful hotel by the Kotor bay
Peaceful location, ca 30 min walk from the Kotor center, many nice restaurants and a beautiful beach promenade nearby. Very friendly staff, breakfast better than average. If you’re not a party animal but looking for a more quiet and laid back atmosphere, I can warmly recommend this hotel!

Décevant pour le tarif
L’accueil par la personne le soir était très bien, la propreté des lieux laisse complètement à désirer... très déçus de ce 4* en plus, le spa est payant 10€/3h/pers. Le gardien de nuit est serviable. La personne de l’accueil le matin n’a pas pas observé un comportement d’un 4*, nous montrant la machine à café en mangeant un croissant devant nous. Le lit était très confortable, les toilettes propres en revanche, la douche était moisie et la bonde non nettoyée, avec des cheveux des précédents clients. Je n’ai pas pensé à prendre des photos mais croyez nous, cela ne vaut pas le tarif.

Dear, We are sorry to hear that you are dissappointed with your stay at our hotel but we expected a bad review from you since you announced in advance that you will leave one in case we charge you all the additional services as we,of course,did.We consider this to be very unfair since you seemed quite happy with everything while staying with us. Explenation: The duration of the stay lasted for 1 night (from the 10th of August until the 11th of August 2019.).Immediately upon arrival the guests used SPA services that our facility offers.They also consumed breakfast on the day of check-out.Following that,when the check-out time came,they refused to pay all the additional costs(that needed to be charged since it is the hotel policy),threatening us with leaving a bad review that they cannot prove with any kind of a photograph because none of that is true. Resepsiyondaki kızlar çok tatlıydı yardımseverdi. Ikinci Gecemizde şarap ikram ettiler tesadüf o gün evlilik yildonumumuzdu :) Bize iyi bir jest oldu. Oda temizdi ama biraz yatak basligi cevresi tozluydu. Odanin manzarasi muhtesem. Küçük bir balkonu var sessiz nezih. Stari grada taksiyle 2.5 euro. Sahilden yurumeyi isterseniz ortalama 25dk sürüyor. Banyo konusunda eksik gördüğüm şey ise kulak çöpü (pamuklu çubuk) yoktu. 2 gece kaldik havlular hep yenilendi ama hic ayak havlusu yoktu. Ama cok hoş bir otel onerilebilir:)

I was highly impressed with the property and the staff surpassed my expectations and made our stay more than enjoyable. The rooms were new and spotless, WiFi in all areas of the property and buffet breakfast with some made to order items like eggs. Great dining nearby with concerted restaurants for easy table reservations. I will definitely be back and I would recommend it to my family and friends.

Very nice hotel, all the staff were nice, rooms were clean and breakfast was great. only cons i can think of are that sometimes people were sitting next to the reception area and talking loud (it reached our room at the 2nd floor), we got the room with the extra sofa but it didnt have bedding (sheet/blanket) we asked from the staff and received some but they didnt have sometihng that fits the size of the sofa.

Lovely family run hotel.
Friendly, professional staff, clean and well located for getting the best out of a Kotor stay. Free use of hotel bikes was excellent. Located by best part of Kotor. Quiet and nice breakfasts too. Use the taxis they can book for you to and from the airport - they were 50% cheaper.

Great stay for couples
This was an excellent stay, the hotel is modern and very clean. Whilst the hotel is around 30 minutes walk from the centre of Kotor there is a lovely walk along the water into the centre. The service was excellent and there was parking on site which was really helpful.

For us the hotel was a disappointment
Stayed in the family suite for four nights in July. We had high expectations based on the reviews and the price we paid (~125eur per night) but unfortunately ended up being somewhat disappointed. What we liked: small family hotel with nice atmosphere and service, great common patio, close to waterfront with nice restaurants nearby (note: not next to old town - we ended up walking there once and other times took a taxi which was only about 3eur one way). What could have been better: we had booked the room because in hotels.com and our reservation it was said to have a patio but there was no private patio/balcony, our reservation said there would be a safety box in the room but there was none, once after cleaning our room was not locked properly and we could enter the room without our keys... Also just a bit too many things with the room: it smelled a bit like old cigarettes, both of the soap containers were empty, we only had one roll of toilet paper which we discovered after running out and the shower drain was very slow. Also we were told the breakfast info upon our arrival but no one mentioned that it was not included until check out - sure we could/should have checked this ourselves but we thought it was included and ended up paying over 50eur more when checking out. This all was just a bit too much for us and next time we will look for another hotel to stay in

Dear Mr.Lotta, After a series of false untruths, I, as the director of the hotel, feel the need to answer to your comments: -Family suites witch you booked don't have balcony and in your reservation doesn't writte that in family suites exists balcony.But that you have addressed us with the request that you want a balcony we will come out to meet as much as we can. -Every room have safe box and it is not truth that in your room does not exsist. - Also all doors on the rooms have emmediately lock sistem as yours door of room, so it is not possible that yours door was open. -Hotel was open last year 1st of July 2018 and all of rooms are new, equipped with smoke detectors and in all hotel is forbidden smoking, and your room could not feel the cigarets. Check yours reservation and you will see that in yours reservation breakfast is not included. It is absolutely normal that you need to pay on check out. Dear Lotta I will asked in future when you comment some hotels take real state, and not a series of untruths as in your case is because our future guests read that comments and we don't wanna get a wrong picture of us. This property is quite unique and not far from the bay. There are a number of excellent restaurants that are nearby. I found the staff to be extremely nice and helpful and in terms of price, it was very reasonable. As for the views, I would recommend a higher floor so that you can see the Bay from your room, if at all possible.

A hidden gem in Kotor
We had a great three nights in Hotel Alkima, just a short taxi ride from Kotor Old Town. It was a quiet location with less than a 5min walk down to some lovely restaurants at the bay. Portion restaurant in particular was excellent! Marco the owner was particularly nice and treated us to a complimentary breakfast on our last morning, as we had been charged way too much by a taxi man the previous night. The only sour note was was smoothed over by Marco’s generosity! Thank you

Thanks Tamara, Sílvia and Nina for all your help with booking my tours and transfers. The reception personal is highly costumer satisfaction driven. Their positive attitude and comittement goes beyond expectations. Managent is also focus on customer satisfaction. Massage room in place is a plus but the person giving this service is not at the professional level of other staff members.

Top hotel met goede service!
Bij het inchecken werden wij warm welkom geheten met een glas champagne en een gebak. Tevens kregen wij in eerste instantie kamer 1 toebedeeld, maar we kregen (zonder te vragen) kamer 7. Dit verschil zorgde ervoor dat wij hoger zaten en dus ook veel beter zicht hadden op de zee. Hotel is op 2 à 3 minuten van het oude centrum van Kotor gestationeerd en ligt op de grote weg. Van het verkeer kregen wij niks mee. Kortom, een aanrader!

Heti alkuun kysyttiin kävisikö hieman kalliimpi huone samaan hintaan, no tottakai, mutta kun se ei ollut vielä valmis niin hyvitykseksi tarjottiin pullo valkoviiniä! Loppu aika kului samoissa merkeissä. Esim. kutsuttiin lounasvieraaksi kun oli saatu vähän enemmän kaloja lounaaksi.

Really excellent experience
I stayed at the Alkima for two nights & from start to finish, my stay was excellent. What stood out most was the staff’s friendliness, helpfulness & attention to detail. Things like bringing me a fruit tray both days, telling me about bikes, restaurants & running routes, and continually checking to see if I had everything I needed (without being intrusive)...I was impressed. I enjoyed the 30 minute walk between the Old Town & hotel - it gave me a chance to see other areas & it was quieter & lovely. The room too was great - super view, good bed, clean. I really can’t fault this visit. I’d definitely recommend this hotel.
