“Traditional breakfast was nice. Surrounding areas was nice, great views. Ryokan building was old and a bit too worn down. Ok for a few nights only.”

“The room and hotel was very clean and the staff was great and helpful. The breakfast and restaurants get a 3/5 and there was not a smart tv which I missed. Still 10/10 hotel since what I missed was only small details.”

“We stayed in Room number one. It was incredible. It was such a wonderful experience to stay in a historic building that had modern amenities and a lot of space. The room decorations and sliding doors were beautiful. The living room overlooks the garden. Everything was clean. It was nice to have the communal food area to grab coffee in the morning and a light meal. Be aware that the room entrance for the room is right next to the lobby. There are stairs to climb to get up to the room. We will...

“Our room was clean and spacious. Finding it was a challenge for the local cab driver. The breakfast was just breads but I enjoyed the mugwort rolls! I’d recommend that they add a washer/dryer to some rooms. Also, the sleeping clothes were a little worn. Mine was missing an important button. The staff were friendly but it could be hard to communicate with them over the phone.”

“Highly recommend! Stayed in central Kyoto at first but it was too crowded so switched to this hotel. If you wanna explore Kyoto this is a little bit further from things, but the subway is near and incredibly easy to get around with. This area is stunning. Beautiful nature and hotel is right by it + the river!”

“Very nice room.”

“Great place. It was even better than we expected!”

“Perfect hotel when travelling with a family off 4. Big room with bunkbeds. Very clean and in a great area for traveling around in Kyoto. Located walking distance from shopping streets. ”

“Otroligt trevlig och tillmötesgående personal. Vi hade ett rum med eget träbadkar och liten trädgård. Sov gjorde vi på futon. Var förvarnad om att de kan vara obekväma, så hade med liggunderlag att ha under. Fantastisk mat. Ligger en bit utanför centrum, men tåget från Saga-Arashiyama går ofta och snabbt. Sammantaget en underbar upplevelse!”

“Amazing l, luxury hotel on the water with Spa, pool and great places to eat. Very quiet. Great after speding a day in Kyoto. We spent 3 days there. I stayed at many hotel, this is one of the best ever.”

“This is only sort of kind of the whole property, Kyoto has very strict tax laws and needs to have a front desk and therefore part of the property is that, additionally the upper floors are inhabited, but none of that matters really because of how wonderful the people and the space are.”

“Great for solo travelers with a car. The covered parking is convenient and the staff was polite.”

“Otroligt trevligt hotell, med fräscht rum, god mat och vänlig personal. Smidigt beläget med ungefär 10 minuters promenad till två tunnelbanelinjer eller buss nära.”
