Situated just on the other side from Ikea Kraków, about 30 minutes of bus + tram ride from the city. Everything looked shiny and new, the staff were all friendly and the breakfast buffet was traditionally sturdy, filled with all kinds of polish sausages, warm and cold, plus the obligatory scrambled eggs. Just great! The restaurant room is deeper than it is wide, and the buffet tables are in the middle, so navigate with care. Room was a perfectly typical European standard rooms, with a very nice etched door glass for the bathroom door. Facilities were as new and spotless as the rest of the hotel.
There is nothing close by worth seeing, really. I made contact with a very nice local on the nearby bus stop who told me all I needed to know to get into the old city as fast as possible, and who gave me the story of this part of town. It has basically exploded the last few years, which is the reason for there being so few shops and all. Anyway, bus 168 to the tram line end, and then tram number 5 will get you to the main station and Kraków mall, with the old city on the other side of the mall, within like 30 minutes.
