Lothlórien Lodge sits on the hill above Straand Hotel — two minutes by car, or a ten-minute walk — with Vrådal centre and the lake beach both close by. It's a brand-new build, and the design shows throughout.

Downstairs, the open-plan living and kitchen area centres around a sofa, Smart TV and dining table, with a wood-burning stove for cooler evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped — an induction hob, convection oven, combination microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, Nespresso machine, Quooke kettle, toaster and mixer.

Two bedrooms are on this floor: one with a double bed, one with two single beds. A separate toilet and two further bathrooms complete the floor — one with a shower and sink next to the sauna, and one with a toilet, shower and sink. A technical room holds the washing machine, dryer, iron, ironing board and drying rack.

Upstairs, two more bedrooms — one with two single beds, one with a double — sit alongside a small workstation: a desk, chair and monitor with keyboard and mouse, two relaxing chairs, and a cupboard of board games, books and card games for quieter days.

Outside, a large covered terrace holds garden furniture, sun loungers, a BBQ and a grill, with a fire pit for evenings under the stars. Parking for three cars and an EV charging point complete the house.
