Bra Ryokan
Mycket bra Ryokan med trevlig personal och lagom stora rum med bra yta för förvaring. Nära sedvärdheter och till stationen. Ett bra ställe om man vill bo enkelt.

Nice room, quiet area
Staying here was a good way of experiencing a traditional japanese house. The mat-bed was just as comfy as a normal bed and they had normal pillows. Only drawback was the thin walls; no late loud tv-watching! The location is in a quiet and really nice area close to the central train station. It's not in the smack middle of the tourist attractions but rather a residential area.

Kyomachiya Ryokan Sakura - Honganji
Hade en trevlig upplevelse där,bra rum med faciliteter i europeisk standard( inga bideér eller sånt). Trevlig personal som var hjälpsamma med information om Kyoto och hur man bäst tar sig runt etc. Enkel in/ut checkning och kul att dom hade hyrt lite folk som hade uppträdande och hade stor middagar i vad jag förstog det som traditionell stil.Bra hotell för par och folk som vill ha det lite lugnare.

We stayed at a machiya converted to a ryokan for 2 nights. I specifically picked a room with western style beds (vs futon on tatami). The place was exquisitely charming. The staff was extremely warm, friendly and helpful. We opted for the breakfast which was prepared carefully - we enjoyed it immensely. The location was a few blocks from the Kyoto train station but very quiet. My only suggestion is to add a bidet to our toilet - I've come to appreciate bidets since I stayed in a regular Tokyo hotel prior to Kyoto. I highly recommend this property and will stay here again next time I visit Kyoto!

离京都站不算远，步行15分钟可达。 周边交通方便，京都公共交通很方便。 周边安静，到吃饭要走到京都站。 宾馆房间还算大，干净，服务很好。 性价比高。

I love this ryokan, the room makes me to taste the tranditional Japanese living style. Moreover, a big thank you to the staff who help us to communicate with the JR station officer and locate our missing backpack on JR.

廚房就在飯店大堂，搞到大堂好大油煙味，榻榻米可能有蟲睡到周身痕癢，房間小隔音好差，又在路邊，吵得不得了。

Nice place
Extremely helpful staff. Room nice but bathroom not the most comfortable one. Breakfast was tasty. Quiet location but a bit far from the more popular areas.

I liked the location, cleanliness, friendliness of the staff. Room small but well appointed. The tatami mat could have been a bit bigger, breakfast was very basic, especially the Continental option, one slice of toast, but unlimited coffee! Still, I would go back, do some more self catering. There is a fridge in the room.

True Japanese Culture
This authentic Ryokan provided us with a true Japanese experience. It did not disappoint. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect in a quiet residential neighbourhood close to many sights and public transportation to visit sights further afield.

Super séjour
Super Ryokan dans un coin tranquille de la ville. À proximité d'un temple et de stations de bus. Le service était super et l'hôtel nous met à disposition une carte avec leur recommendation de restaurants locaux. La chambre avec futon est une excellente expérience, leur yukata donne un plus. Je recommande !

Nous avons pris, mon mari et moi, une chambre traditionnelle japonaise avec tatami et futons. La chambre est très agréable et possède la climatisation (indispensable en été au Japon) Le service est très accueillant et parle très bien anglais. Le ryokan est très bien situé. Je recommande à 100%.

This property was amazing. The staff is incredibly welcoming, friendly, and genuinely want to help. They also equip you with stuff to do and places to eat in the hood. And they called us a cab to the train station to make our lives easier. Breakfast was good as well. Would absolutely recommend to my friends.

Paid in advance. Was very expensive. Booking states all fees included but when arrived at the hot we have to pay a local fee. Not sure why Hotels.com stated that all fees where included when it wasnt. If we knew this we would not have booled this hotel.

A nice ryokan style inn with around 25 rooms, general hardware and software are quite good, breakfast also nice, only negative point is the location , which is a bit remote to any major attraction or even public transportation station

Friendly place and great location
Very nice stay with lovely welcoming staff and great facilities with a Japanese feel. A great area as well - very east to travel to other areas too via train. Would recommend!

寧靜的旅館
酒店距離京都車站步行約15分鐘，有一點遠， 但是旅館附近環境非常幽靜，很舒服。 本人未去過京都，不知道京都住的旅館是否都比較細少， 這間日式旅館面積比我想像細了一點， 要將椅子和枱子移開才可放"榻榻米"，睡覺的"榻榻米" 要自己整的，但感覺還是非常良好，房間很清潔。員工非常有善，英語水平非常好，溝通完全沒問題。 有機會會再次入住。

직원분들이 매우 친절합니다.
직원분들이 모두 매우 친절하십니다. 조식도 너무너무 맛있구요. 와이파이도 빵빵해요. 숙소 근처에 두개의 큰 절과 맛집들이 있어 좋았습니다. 교토역에서 도보이동 가능하지만 마냥 가깝진 않아요. 밤엔 주변이 조금 어두워서 무섭지만 근처에 편의점이 있어서 편했습니다. 한가지 아쉬운것은 숙소 조명이 아늑하고 은은한 편인데 낮에 밝게 이용할 수 있도록 밝은 조명 하나가 추가로 설치되었으면 좋았을 것 같습니다. 전반적으로 만족합니다. 좋은가격대에 일본느낌 나는 숙소를 이용해서 좋았어요.

never stayed here. had no record of this reservation and while in Kyoto received an e-mail telling me i hadn't checked in. responded immediately apologizing for any misunderstanding and they just put me down as a no-show and billed me for 4 nights! i'm trying to survive on a meager pension and can't afford this!

Beautiful little Ryokan
A beautiful and quiet place to stay a little out of the way in Kyoto. Within walking distance of two beautiful temples, and a 40 minute walk to Gion. The service here was excellent, and I highly recommend the traditional Japanese breakfast. Each item was explained to us as we sat down and the food was very good (but you better like fish!). Traditional Japanese rooms are simple tatami and provided a tranquil and relaxing stay.
