The hotel is located 10 mins walk from the Kyoto train, very convenient to get to and around. Upon early arrival, we were greeted by a sweet older woman (reminded me of my grandma and I immediately felt safe and at home) and she said we could keep our luggage in the lobby area since check in was 3pm. Although their English is limited, they were very prepared with English instructions and directions. We even opted for a traditional Japanese Breakfast and it was delicious (just remember to pay by cash).
My friends and I took off to explore Kyoto and to our surprise when we arrive back to check in time they have placed our bags in our room and set up our beds already. there was a lot of space for our luggage and 4 people. the bed was very comfortable and soft. The bath and bathroom (4 at a time) are shared, but it was very clean and amenities (toothbrush, soap, face wash, shampoo/conditioner) were provided.
At the end of our stay, the same women that checked us in gave us a Japanese potpourri as a gift and in Japanese wished us a safe journey. I would definitely come back and stay with them again. Their hospital was perfect.
