“My friends and I came away very pleased with our no-frills wilderness camping on Rod's property. He has the best view of the Huron Mtns I've seen, with a better perspective on the south faces than Pt Abbaye. They really lit up in the sun with peak color all over. We also loved his sweet dog Max, who quickly pivoted from intimidating bark at strangers to "dare you to try to take my stick" playfulness in seconds.I would go back in a heartbeat, but I did take off 1 star for listing accuracy only...

“Fully stocked kitchen for cooking - best ever!House was warm ( it was cold outside) when we entered , backwards of usual rentals- had to ask how to turn it down lol!Host got out kayaks from storage for us to use which we appreciated very much . Only complaint was we did not know the hot tub was already turned off for the season. Sauna was great!This was a great place to stay away from Houghton but still good for traveling to multiple sites in the area.”
