Our stay was amazing !

The host was great. She answered all questions and was very helpful all Through out our stay, she had plenty of suggestions for places to eat and go. The mini mart attached to property was a life saver! The property was clean and spacious , the pool was clean. I would return and stay Here again !

Right location and communication but issues with water heater.

Overall, we were pleased, the managers were very attentive and responsive, but weee not able to fix the broken water heater so we showered in cold water for four days. To be fair, we didn’t notify them for the first couple days because it was so hot outside that a cold shower was welcoming, but once things cooled, we suffered through cold showers for the next two days. They should really put an additional air-conditioning unit in the kitchen and small living room because it was stifling hot. The bedrooms are nice and cool since they each had their own unit. The owner did give us a partial refund due to the water heater issue. The gym started going at 5:45 AM so if you’re not an early riser, keep that in mind when making a reservation at this home. The location felt very secure and the minimart out front was very convenient.

La Fortuna home

It is a beautiful property with plenty of space. It is clean, pool is amazing. Close distance to downtown. The pool bathrooms would need a little maintenance, but overall a great property to book

Great place to stay

Nice and clean place closer to La Fortuna downtown (10 mins drive/ 20 mins walk). I arrived late and had some difficulties finding the place so make sure that you connect with the host prior to your arrival. Host was very friendly and responded to my questions promptly. There is a store (SC Mart) right in front of this place so it was easy to grab any essentials as we needed. I would definitely consider this place for my next stay.

Important information missing

We came to this beautiful property as part of our family vacation, and found it be pleasant and recently renovated. Roberto and Andrea were nice and very quick to respond to issues. That said, there were some important pieces of information we would have liked to have had ahead of time. The property is located behind a minimart just out of town, along a main road, and you can definitely hear the highway. Main access is through a garage door, behind which the property is located. The owners also own the cross fit studio next door (they offered us to join the classes...), which meant that some mornings there were loud, screaming teams of people getting hyped up and working out at 5:45 am, waking up half the house. The listing said nothing about that. It also didn't mention that the common areas don't have A/C (the bedrooms do), and the doors don't have screens, so we had a lot of heat, humidity, and bugs. There were little details that could be fixed as well (e.g. no towel holders/racks in the bathrooms, no garbage dumpster for when the garbage got full, some drainage problems in the showers), but those were more minor and I expect will be taken care of in the future. I will say that when had problems with the garage door and the dryer, they responded swiftly and addressed the problems quickly, which was very much appreciated. That said, some of these other details are important for future guests to know before deciding whether this property is the right fit for them.

La Fortuna stay

All in all it was a good experience. It was clean and safe. It was even safe for the car. It had an entrance that was a garage door to pull the car into. The layout of the house had visual exposure to the pool from every room. A really good design. Negatives were very minor such as one wash rag for each bathroom, kitchen cabinets had a couple doors not working correctly, no garbage bags that we could find (we bought some when we went to the store. Some of the communication back and forth was a little slow and hard to understand. Really the negatives were minor. They caused no issue with our fun time there.

The property is beautiful, the host is attentive. We had a small issue with the air conditioner in our bedroom and they quickly fixed it and left us a bottle of wine. The only real downside was the weight lifting gym next door. The gym opened at 6am and while our group was up early and out of the house to explore other people may find the clanging weight dropping and loud music bothersome. Overall a beautiful house, and great host.

Amazing experience!

The pictures don’t do this place justice. It was incredible!! So close to everything!! So much space and we loved the pool. We could not have asked for a better place and the owners were so wonderful to work with. We will definitely stay here again.

Clean and convenient location

The property was had advertised and very clean and well equipped. Very private from the surrounding neighbors. The kids loved the swimming pool. The only things we could think to add would be a toaster and a hair dryer. That were some ant trails in the house like many houses so frequent treatment of that would be good. There is no front door or bell just the garage entrance so when people come to pick you up it would be good if they had a method of ringing other than relying on cell phones which are not always working well. When we needed attention to a couple of things someone came over promptly. The location is great for La Fortuna and many activities in the area. We would definitely use this property again.
