  • It must be said that this house is for the slightly adventurous and those who want seclusion. Access is via a single track mountain road for four miles from the main road (tarmac until the last kilometre) then a final ascent up an unmade road to the house. Once there the the Gulf is spread out in front of you, looking in a line over Grimaud to Port Grimaud on the coast with St Tropez in the distance to the right.

    ​The house is 10 miles from St Tropez and under an hour from the beaches though allow more during high season. La Garde-Freinet is the nearest village (about 4.5 miles) with a good range of shops, restaurants, art galleries and a twice weekly market.

    Le Mas is of dry stone construction sitting on about an acre plateau with the swimming pool to the side and views out to the Gulf of St Tropez. There is wide terracing out to the pool which allows plenty of space for petanque or simply lounging in the sun. There is also a shaded pergola for outdoor dining.

    Inside there is a bright and airy sitting room with an adjacent well laid out open-plan kitchen. Large double doors look out to the Gulf and there is an open stone staircase leading up to a mezzanine with seating area with a couple of arm chairs and a TV / DVD player, plus a further study / reading room overlooking the Gulf.

    ​The three bedrooms are located on the ground floor, a master bedroom, a second double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and a third twin bedded room to the rear and side of the house. There is also a good sized shower room and WC adjacent to the Master and twin bedrooms.

    ​The house has three bedrooms and is geared for 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided at no additional charge. Basic toiletries and a welcome pack are provided for your arrival.

Eine sehr schöne Location, wenn man mal so richtig abschalten möchte. Tolle Sicht auf die Bucht von Sainte Tropez in der Einsamkeit der Berge.

Schön, einsam und erholsam

Ruperts Haus liegt, wie beschrieben, auf einem einsamen, aber schönen Fleckchen am Berg mit toller Aussicht und viel Ruhe. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet. Die Kommunikation war wunderbar und freundlich. Die Zufahrt ist ein kleines Abenteuer, aber machbar.

Un rêve transformé en cauchemar

Des punaises de lit on revient avc des démangeaisons nos valises et nos vêtements à désinfecter ns reclamons un dédomagement voire le remboursement de la totalité du prix de la location!

Die Lage und Aussicht dieses Ferienhauses sind wirklich sensationell – der Blick auf den Hafen von St. Tropez ist ein echtes Highlight. Das war es dann aber auch schon.Die Anfahrt: ist sehr speziell. Man fährt ca. 20 Minuten über eine einspurige Straße, doch die letzten 400 Meter sind eine steile Piste aus Steinen und losem Geröll – eigentlich nur mit einem Allradfahrzeug zu befahren. Das Haus: war zwar überwiegend sauber, aber gerade in Bad und Küche wurde einiges vernachlässigt: Die Toilettenbürsten waren ekelhaft, ein Abfluss war verstopft, und in der Küche fanden wir Spinnweben und Mäusekot. Ein Küchenschrank war kaputt, Töpfe und Pfannen verklebt, das Geschirr mit einer Staubschicht überzogen. In einer Kommode im Schlafzimmer entdeckten wir zwei lebende Mäuse, inkl. Nagespuren am Boden.Die Außenbeleuchtung der Terrasse war defekt. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage, nur Ventilatoren. Die Steckdosenverteilung war generell abenteuerlich! Fliegengitter an den Fenstern fehlten oder waren löchrig. Durchzug nachts also nur im Dunkeln möglich.Pool: Wasser ok, wir mussten den Pool leider selbst reinigen, die dafür vorgesehenen Geräte waren alt und defekt. Es gab auch nur 3 Sonnenschirme für 5 Personen.Zu dem Preis erwarteten wir einen deutlich höheren Standard. Wir können dieses Haus nicht empfehlen.
