Had a great time.
Perfect place to have a 10 & 18 year old with separate spaces for grandparents. Had rain for a couple of days and the pool was cold but hot tub was nice to have.

Views everywhere you look!
This property was very tastefully decorated with beautiful paintings, crown moldings and an actual dolphin fountain! The waterfall in front was also very nice! The gardens out back were awesome with paving stones and hand rails everywhere! Jeffrey is a very nice and helpful host! The hot tub was very warm and enjoyable. The only downside was the many stairs. But we got our exercise over the 4 days we were there! And Jeffrey and his helper Jose were very nice to help us get our luggage and ice chests down to our townhouse! Overall a great getaway!! Thanks, Jeffrey!! We would love to come back!

Anniversary celebration
This neighborhood is beautiful, & peaceful, not to mention the views from the property. The townhouse is beautiful, & the beds are super comfortable. We would love to come back! Jeff is a wonderful host, quick to respond but not at all intrusive. Highly recommend!

Beautiful view
Property lovely and extensive. Everywhere we looked there was a little yard statue or point of interest that almost always started a conversation between us. Nice coming back to the house after a long hot day to that pool. Owner was available for questions but not intrusive.

Great Views!
This is a beautiful location with comfortable bedding and plenty of extra blankets and pillows. The property had everything we needed for our stay. Jeffrey was very accommodating and responsive to our needs. It was not as toddler friendly as I must have thought when booking. The kitchen area is upstairs and the stairs can be slick with ceramic tile flooring. But overall, the home was beautiful and accommodating! Great host!

Good Stay
Jeff was super super communicative! I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the property. The pool and spa were a little different than expected; only one day would have been nice to use. We used the washer once and it seemed like it was going to fall down the stairs but here are all the great things: 1. The yard was amazing, we went on so many adventures and ate grapefruit and oranges 2. It was pet friendly and was so amazing! 3. The kitchen was fully stocked 4. The beds were comfy and had exactly what we needed 5. Great shower supplies; everything we needed! Jeff is a great host!!! I would recommend any stay here!!!

Great Stay
We traveled with my elderly parents and my two children ages 9 and 12 to stay for 5 days in San Diego. This property was fantastic and Jeff the host was great! He answered lots of questions for us about surrounding activities, restaurants and stores. He was very responsive prior to and during our arrival. He does live on site but was not intrusive at all. The grounds of this house are beautiful! It has a fantastic view and their are numerous fruit trees. The house was great for us. I would say the stairwell is a bit slick but not a problem by any means. Beds are very comfortable. I would stay here again. It is also a good location for enjoying the surrounding area.

Top 3, if not the best.
This place was possibly the best place I've ever booked. It was so nice and easy to check in. Jeff was very much the best host. He was immediately present upon arrival. He was very welcoming into the property. Place was extremely functional and clean. Never have been to such an impeccable place. I would recommend this place to all of my people, for when they vacation in San Diego. I can't even process more to say other than, this vacation and stay will forever be imprinted in my brain as a full vacation experience.

Awesome Home and Amenities
The property has two rental units. This one was perfect for Grandparents on lower level and Kids and Grandkids on upper level. The other unit is a single level. This unit had everything we needed + extras. The pool was clean and maintained. The property manager supported all request and RESPONDED back almost immediately. EVEN after we left the property. This was a STANDOUT of all our short term rentals.

Fabulous stay
Our host Jeffery was a really fabulous host. Hands on and so helpful. We were able to bring our dog and enjoy the beautiful terrace garden. The deck is so enjoyable, pool and the views are spectacular. It’s a very comfortable, quiet space.

Fantastic Property and Great Management - Perfect for Families
First of all, Jeff was fantastic. He was quick to respond to any questions prior to our stay and was flexible if our flight came in early for check-in. Once we were there on the property he was helpful and friendly and looked out for his guests. This is a shared property with another rental (we were lucky and had good experiences with the other renters while we stayed there as well), and Jeff lives upstairs. We never had an issue sharing the common space (pool, BBQ, hot tub) and there is a ton of outdoor space for seating and wandering. There are fruit trees on the property that Jeff lets you pick from, the lemons were our personal favourite. We were travelling with two-and-a-half year old twins and it was a perfect unit to stay in with myself, my husband, my toddlers, and my parents. This unit is the one you can rent if you have non-swimming aged children as the unit has a latched gate separating your unit from the pool, where as the other unit's door opens directly into the pool area. My husband and I stayed in the room upstairs with our toddlers, it has a queen bed and a day bed with a trundle pull out, perfect for two kids. Things to note: the pool is not heated (which did not bother our children in the least) and the stairs in the unit are tile (if you have young kids staying there, perhaps consider bringing a gate to prevent a slip). The view from the property is gorgeous and the weather we found was warmer there than in San Diego (not being directly on the water). However, it was close enough to San Diego that our day trips to the Zoo, Sea World and the Safari Park were easy to get to. We would hands-down book again at the property and with Jeff and it would be a great place to stay with a large group and book both suites. Thanks Jeff for a great family vacation!

Wonderful way to end a day!
We decided to make a weekend out of the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park. Normally we'd stay in a hotel, but we decided to rent a VRBO instead. Best decision. This was a quiet, relaxing way to end a long day walking at the parks. Beautiful back yard, gracious host and plenty of room for all of us to stretch out.

Mount Healix Stay
We enjoyed our recent stay in this Mount Healix-area property. The owner was very responsive and helpful both before and during our stay. The flat itself was as advertised. The 2 bedrooms are quite roomy and have great beds/linens. Bathrooms are fine and having 1 up/1down is convenient. The kitchen appliances are very good and the entire kitchen/eating area is good sized. The pool area is really nice and so are some of the other outdoor nooks and seating areas - lovely gardents! Our bad for not knowing that this entire area is so hilly (the driveway is a killer!) that running/cycling is really not possible from the house. Otherwise, great area, great property, terrific owner.

The townhome we stayed in was great! Jeff made the process very streamlined and there was no confusion about anything. The home had everything you would need for your perfect getaway and more. The ultimate in comfort is made even better by air conditioning! Relaxing in the spa and by the poolside was a great afternoon treat. We would absolutely stay here again with no hesitation.

Beautiful Mt. Helix Townhouse!
Beautiful, quiet, and well-maintained property with outstanding views of Mount Helix and the surrounding area. It was our "home away from home" for a week while work was being done on our house, and we were extremely pleased with our choice to stay here. The owner truly cares about the property, is very friendly and accommodating, allows pets, and we would recommend this property to anyone.

My daughters and I had a great time here. The house has a beautiful view. There is a great deck with a pool and hot tub. My daughters loved the pool slide. The rental was very spacious and clean. We loved our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Almost Paradise
This place is so beautiful tucked away in a gorgeous mountain setting with hot sunny days and cool nights. The owner has thought of everything a guest might need. It is well maintained and has beautiful flowers and fruit trees along a wandering path like a secret garden. The oranges were ready to pick which Jeff, the owner invited us to do. They may have been the best I've ever tasted. Our Family of 13 rented both units which made it so nice to not have to share the pool, hot tub, or fire pit with outsiders. The more active of our group loved visiting the various parks, cliffs, and hiking places while the grandma's stayed more poolside. Everyone went to the ocean to surf (grandma's watched) and enjoyed the seals at La Jolla and shopping at Old Towne. We were within 20 minutes of everything and a lot closer to stores. We cooked in every night (Covid 19) but found that to be rather fun with 2 well stocked kitchens and a great grill area. Just be sure to discuss cost with Jeff so there are no surprises. Our time in this paradise went by too fast as we made many memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you Jeff and you adorable puppies.

Well kept property in a gorgeous setting
Spent 6 weeks at this comfortable, quiet, beautifully landscaped 2 story townhouse in a residential area located about 10 miles from San Diego. As long as you avoid rush hour traffic, it's a remarkably quick trip to downtown attractions. The place had everything we needed and if anything ran out or there was a problem, Jeff was on it. He is a gracious host - and he has 2 adorable pups! We particularly appreciated the large walk-in closet where we could store our winter gear. As noted, there are lots of steps but if you are in reasonably good condition, they shouldn't be a problem. PS: the oranges are delicious!

Amazing View/Hot Tub/Pool w slide
First I want to say that Jeffrey is a kind, easy-going person to speak to. On our way home, my wife realized that she lost her earing in his house. He found it and mailed it to us FOR FREE. The views from his house are spectacular. My kids swam forever and mastered the installed slide. The jacuzzi/hot tub gets nice and hot and accomadates two adults comfortably. The atmosphere on the back patio is totally relaxing and perfect for dining and drinking and resting. The kitchen is stocked and has a washer and dryer. Only downfall: for the older folks there are some steep stairs on the inside, and it could also use just a little better scrubbing as there was some pet hairs on the dining room chairs. Otherwise though we'll be looking Jeffreys place up in a minute the next time visit San Diego. Hope you enjoy!

San Diego winter getaway
Wonderful vacation. We really enjoyed our stay in Mount Helix. The townhouse was great with wonderful views, and easy access to wherever we wanted to go. There was a nice pool and hot tub and sitting areas overlooking the yard and surroundind mountains. There were parks and walking trails nearby. The yard was beautiful with the flowers and accent areas for walking and relaxing. The townhouse was clean and open with a nice kitchen and dining area and plenty of area to relax. The owner was very friendly and very helpful in making the stay as pleasant as possible.

Beautiful views and lovely home
This is a beautiful townhome with two bedrooms and two baths! It is modern, clean and very comfortable! The owner is fantastic to work with and lives on premises so is there if you need anything !’ The view of Mt Helix is awesome and getting around was good! Beautiful view and great location.
Very positive - everything was clean and neat. The only issue we had was the distance from parking to the unit -- a lot of stairs to get there and then stairs inside...just a lot of stairs for older people --- but overall we were very pleased and would certainly reserve again (perhaps bringing less luggage!).

This property sits on Mt. Helix with spectacular views, well maintained landscaping, clean pool, hot tub and a very friendly owner. The owner lives on the main level. He rents out the lower space. In this area, everything is on an elevation - roads, driveway and property. Not suitable for morning walks; very suitable for morning coffee and afternoon wine on the patio! Just know there are steps down and up carrying your luggage, and that this unit is 2 story, with the kitchen and master bedroom upstairs. The living room with TV and second bedroom are on the entry level. The owners states there may be outside work during weekends, which there was during our stay - deck power washing on a Sunday afternoon, wet and loud while trying to read outside. My recommendations would be for new pillows, pillow protectors, new bedding (white so it can be sanitized after each use), a blanket for each bed and new comforters. In the kitchen, remove all outdated food items and have a deep cleaning of appliances, cabinets and drawers. And, modify maintenance schedule so loud items are not when renters are around. Pets are allowed, but children are not. On our first night, there was a yappy dog next to us. Our carpet smelled like "dog" when we arrived. The owner was responsive, bringing us air freshener that night and cleaned the carpet the next day, checking back to be sure all was A OK - much appreciated. Sitting outside of our unit, it also smelled like "dog" as it was close to the area where dogs were walked. In summary, the owner is very friendly, lives right there, is out walking the dog and property so is available & responsive if you need to contact him.

Perfect place for us
My wife, mom and 3 kids stayed here for a week. This place had everything we needed a more. The pool was a hit for all of us with a slide that was a definite bonus. At night it was nice to relax in the spa and look at the fire pit. The lights around the property is a nice touch. Me and my 5 year old boy also enjoyed walking around on the paths down the hill. This property is kept up very nicely and you can tell it takes a lot of work! We stayed in the unit off the main house that was 2 stories, 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The view from the dinning room was very nice. My wife and I enjoyed the gazebo at night that is down a few steps from our unit. We were fortunate to have a nice family staying in the other unit. We met Jeff the owner the 2nd day we were there. He is very kind man that is very accommodating. We left something behind and he had no problem mailing it to us. We are looking forward to staying here again. Thanks Jeff for a great week!

Family Stay...
Our family really enjoyed our stay! The view was beautiful and the access to the pool & hot tub after a long day was really enjoyable. The home was set up nicely and we were able to make food at the home and slept good. We would come back to this home. Also, Jeff the owner is on the property and we would run into him in the morning and he was very helpful and wanted to make sure everything was going well. Location was great We were only 20 minutes from all destinations in the area.

Beautiful area, but a little disappointing.
The surrounding area is beautiful and the views are also Supreme since the estate is located on a hill top. I stayed here with my family to visit friends and my daughter’s family for a week. It was close to the freeways which made it easy to access. I felt the description of the estate needed to be explained better as it is divided into 3 different rental units with the owner living on the top area. The pool and hot tub area was very nice, but it was difficult to enjoy when the other renters were occupying the entire space most of the time. The pool is not that big nor is the deck area for all renters to enjoy, so we would constantly try to beat the others into the pool and the deck space before they got there. Not to say the renters were not wonderful people, bc we got along we just would have liked some alone time and you won’t get that here. They left on Sunday and we thought we might have at least a day, but the next renters came in that afternoon and alas similar circumstances. The layout and the capacity of the amenities was not adequate to satisfy everyone. Also, when I booked this rental, perhaps it was my misreading, but I did not know there were 2 other units on the estate so we didn’t get to utilize the amenities as much as we would have liked due to it being too crowded. The grill was located right near the doors of the other rental and was also not that accessible when one of the other group of renters was using it. Parking was a pain Due to the space and the Hill. We got an explosion of ants in the kitchen area for some reason, but luckily it happened on the day we checked out.We did not meet Jeff until the second to last day and he immediately asked if we needed to settle up any debts ( only those who are renting are allowed to use the amenities. Those who are not have to pay him per person for an undisclosed amount of money). We had two members of my daughter’s family come by a couple of times but none used the amenities, so I was a little taken back about that. Overall, it was nice, but there are many rules, not enough space for all these guests for the outside amenities. We decided this was a one time stay here and will find other accommodations on our next yearly visit.

Impressive and comfortable!
We had a group of 12 recently visit this property. There was plenty of space for of all of us plus everything was clean and properly functioning. The view of Mt Helix and surrounding area is awesome. Everyone in the group enjoyed their stay and talked about returning. The kids loved the pool and slide, it wouldn't have been the same vacation without it...Highly recommend this property!

Absolutely gorgeous place!
We stayed here while visiting our son who goes to San Diego State. The house has the most incredible views of the surrounding hills and the pool and hot-tub and giant deck were heavenly. We loved the kitchen and cooking facilities both in the house and outside with the great pool-side grilling area. Super-nice owner, very accommodating and fun to chat with. We loved it so much we are planning to rent both sides next year when our son graduates! Really a lovely place. Cheers and see you next year!!

Beautiful property!
What the photos don't show are the extensive garden paths and landscaping. This place is very private and peaceful. Good location, very clean and nicely furnished. Plus, there is a great view of Mt Helix. Jeff has everything set up perfectly and was a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely stay here the next time we are in the area.

Immaculate and serene!
From booking to departing, was smoothe. Communication with host was a delight and efficient. The home is beautiful and well kept, as is the entire property. Location is perfect. Every thing is close by, but when enjoying the fantastic view, it is so serene that you wouldn't know it. Excellent place to be.

Enjoyed the accomdations and view!
This home worked out perfectly for my four sisters and me. There were enough beds for everyone, kitchen is well equipped with all the essentials and the patio, pool, and view are peaceful and beautiful! I highly recommend this home if you are looking for something that easily sleeps five people and can accommodate as many as seven. Only negative is that many of the doors need oiling as the creaked and one door into one of the bedrooms is difficult to close without force. Sometimes made noise for those still sleeping! Jeff is very easy and pleasant to work with!!
