The house was in a gorgeous neighborhood and had a beautiful backyard space. With that said, our experience was one of the worst VRBO experiences I have ever had. The property was transitioning between management companies that week which I believe was the issue but it came at our expense. One key was provided for four people, despite having a casita on the property which we used as a bedroom and also required a key. There was no house instruction book, no operating instructions for the firepit (just a propane tank left next to a chair) no check out procedures, no area information, etc. The house had not been thoroughly cleaned. Used kleenex and dust bunnies behind some night tables in the bedroom, quilts on the beds that smelled like previous guests cologne and the carpet, while vacuumed, was filthy. There were wadded up receipts in the closet. The casita's air conditioner was not working and the unit smelled really bad. There was a handle that controls water temperature in one of the bathrooms that was missing. I left two voicemail messages and texted twice in the first 24 hours and never got a response. There was just no attention to detail or guest experience. Hopefully they will turn things around but there are so many other lovely rentals in the neighborhood, that I wouldn't choose this one.
