Like the always blank double-sided pages of books, placed to protect the work itself, this villa was for years a refuge and protection for the soul of a lady from Turin, a lover of literature, art, her flowers and her animals — until, a hundred-year-old, she left a few years ago. Today the villa, restored according to the most current standards, keeps that soul and character intact, and is offered to those who truly know how to recognize and appreciate true beauty.
The outsiders
On the hill of Monte Vico, overlooking the marina, the villa enjoys one of the most beautiful views in the whole of Ischia. From the lush garden or terrace, an aperitif at sunset — or the island lights that come on at night — provide a magical setting.
The multi-level garden is a small botanical triumph: centuries-old trees, cortaderie, barrens, lush bougainvillea and giant succulents, in an almost exotic garden atmosphere. At the back, a hot thermal tub powered directly from the local spring welcomes guests in every season, and an equipped BBQ area is ready for those who love to cook outside.
The interiors
If the exterior enchants, upon entering you will be breathless: hand-painted majolica, precious ceramics, period furniture, refined fabrics and objects carefully chosen in every environment. The villa has a double living room with fireplace, large dining area, fully equipped kitchen with table and chairs, a service bathroom, 4 double bedrooms and 4 en suite bathrooms.

The surroundings
In Lacco Ameno, the smallest municipality on the island but among the most fascinating, the beautiful bay of San Montano and the homonymous fine sand beach guard the Negombo thermal park, with over 500 Mediterranean and exotic botanical species, a private beach and 13 thermal pools. Also not to be missed are the Montevico path, Villa Arbusto, the Museum of Santa Restituta and the Grotta di Mario.
