âAfter a long and exhausting drive we came to the hotel for a late check-in. The fireplace in the lobby and friendly staff made the arrival relaxed and we felt very welcome. Even though the original building is somewhat old, it was but only charming and beautiful. The rooms were modern and fresh. âWe enjoyed our three night stay at The Twelve hotel in Barna. We decided to try staying outside of Galway and used bus and taxi to get in and out of town.
The hotel is very nice. The room is spacious (we had a King suite). The morning breakfast was excellent.
While Barna was not particularly walkable, we were able to take the city bus both into Galway to explore the city and take an excursion to the Cliffs of Moher, as well as to the ferrys to Aran Islands.

âEtt prisvĂ€rt hotell i utkanten av Galway: 10 min med buss. I nĂ€romrĂ„det finns nĂ„gra helt ok "gallerior". Det gĂ„r ocksĂ„ finfint att hitta vettig löparbana i nĂ€romrĂ„det. Frukosten pĂ„ hotellet var alldeles utmĂ€rkt: mĂŒsli, bra bröd, juicer, varm mat, ok kaffe. BekvĂ€mt rum, queensize binge.â
âAllt var bra. Det enda som drar ner lite, Ă€r avstĂ„ndet till centrum . Ca 10-15 till Eyre square. Och 20-25 till quaie street och long walk. Ăr man kĂ€nslig för buller sĂ„ kanske trafiken utanför pĂ„ morgonen stör. Annars inget att klaga pĂ„. â

"We really enjoyed our stay, especially the nice breakfast selection and the convenience of having both restaurants and vending machines. Less convenient: Only two elevators and the stairs were not very easy to find, adding some waiting time in the morning when everyone is going to breakfast at the same time. Also swimcaps were needed in the pool which you had to pay for (3Euro, mainly inconvenient since we had to run back to the room). On the other hand, the pool and especially the outdoor jacuzzi (nice and properly warm) were great. "
