Kate, I am so happy you liked the cabin and the area. You forgot to mention in your review that you did not return my text or email about what lake facilities you planned on using. As I told you these past three years, the ALA has been down on STR, so the cabins you rented that gave you full access were either before that or on the lake with a private beach. Had I known in advance, as I asked you, I could have listed you as VIP, but you did not get back to me. Here is an update on the Lake and STRs. Several of us filed a lawsuit against ALA for breaking the agreement signed in 1964. As a lake rights holder (which I paid for in my land and taxes), my friends, family, and renters should enjoy complete lake privileges. It looks great for us and will return to normal by next summer. Fingers crossed. I have been there 20 years, and my renters and friends got to enjoy everything until this, But even this has its loopholes to give my renters full access. I am sorry you did not return my emails or texts.

When the Song family arrived, he called me yelling about the sink; I explained the plumber and housekeeper would be right back to finish the repair. I offered to buy the family dinner at any restaurant, put them up in the resort, and offered them half of their money back. I said please give me an hour to fix it and they could still enjoy their Holiday. Then he started yelling about a gas leak. I said there was no gas leak. The plumber and housekeeper were just there, and they would have told me. But I had no reason to doubt him, and I take a gas leak seriously and I would have So Ca Gas emergency come right over. They arrived in 30 minutes, fully inspected, and reported No Problems. I told Mr. Song about the report, gave him the report number, and invited them to stay. He responded that they were halfway home and I was a horrible person/host; he added he would get all his money back from VRBO. He continued, “I was an idiot to invite them back to stay because of the liabilities he would cost me.” Result - VRBO did not refund any money. Mr. Song was not truthful from the start about anything and wanted out of the agreement before they departed their home. I take hosting seriously; I think my reviews speak volumes.
