“We much enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Fantastic location and great walks from the door. Also not as busy as many other parts of The Lakes.
Hotel was very comfortable and staff friendly and helpful.
Good breakfast and we ate in the hotel a couple of nights. Food was very good though menu a little restrictive if you were staying more than two or three nights intended to eat in the hotel throughout your stay.

“The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. We stayed in a room named Helvellyn and Expedia didn’t state any issues with any rooms. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen.
