“I was three days at Goodwin House and met the friendliest couple Chris and Liz. They had a lot of suggestions where to hike and was so nice! The home made breakfast with fresh fruit and berries, granola, juice and a warm English breakfast (or alternatives). I definitely recommend Goodwin House!”

“We stayed in room 1. The room was large with plenty of storage space and nice furnishings. There were lots of nice touches. A sherry decanter, nice biscuits to go with your tea, a chocolate on your pillow each day and some water in the fridge. The bathroom was large and there was a range of nice toiletries and lovely fluffy towels. The only thing that wasn’t so good was we could hear the people above us walking around, and they certainly walked! However I appreciate that this is due to the age...

“Super friendly and quick check in. Prompt room change when the room key wasn't working. Excellent spa facilities - notably the thermal pool. Good range of breakfast options (the pancakes from the kitchen order options were fab). Good quality food for evening meal in the dining room. The location speaks for itself - fantastic. ”

“Vi stannade en natt på detta hotell på vår tur i lake district. Sköna sängar o bra frukost, nära till butiker o vattnet. Vi hade ett rum mot vägen och man stördes ganska mycket av ljud från vägen. Parkeringen var väldigt trång så man fick trixa för o ta sig in o ut.”
