“Väldigt fint boende i Lake District. Nackdelen för vår vistelse är dock rummet intill där en familj på minst 7 hade tryckt in sig i ett 4 bäddsrum. Barnen skrek och gormade. Slängde igen dörren. Sprang till toaletten utanför oss och slängde igen den säkert minst 200 gånger på en kväll/natt. Och det är utan överdrift kan jag säga. När jag lyfte till personalen om det här knackade de på men gjorde inget större av saken. Pågrund av det här blev det väldigt, väldigt lite sömn under den natten. Dagen...
“I have nothing to compare it with as this is my first experience of youth hostels in 40 years. I was impressed. I loved the open area, bar and restaurant. The dormitory was excellent. Beds were well spaced, ample plug sockets, mattress & pillows excellent. Clean sheets and super mattress. The bed was as good as any 5 star hotel. Honestly. The shower was clean but a little small. The facilities in the kitchen were good but some of the pans had loose handles. The staff clearly clean but somehow...
“The room was clean and basic. It was a bit noisy as the plumbing (I assume) sometimes banged loudly in our room. This didn’t go too late into the night and we slept well.
The kitchen facilities were good and the large dining/lounge area was a great space. The whole place could do with a lick of paint and a good wipe over. The games and books were tatty with pieces missing (no table tennis with only one bat and no ball!).
