På Mixons Lake Retreat, kommer avkopplande kommer lätt! Denna stora, 3 våningar lakefront hem på Bald Mountain Lake sitter innanför grindarna mullrande Bald Resort, och kommer med full tillgång till alla utväg bekvämligheter (se nedan).
Detta hem unika stil är en påminnelse om vintage minnen från åren som gått, när livet på sjön var mycket enklare och tid flyttade i långsammare takt. Den förenar en lite nostalgi med moderna bekvämligheter som trådlöst internet, fullt utrustat kök med alla nya apparater, TV med DVD / video, tvättmaskin / torktumlare, strykjärn / styrelse och hårtork.
Njut av ditt morgonkaffe eller kvällen glas vin, antingen från den övre eller nedre däck, samtidigt som i den fantastiska utsikten över sjön och de omgivande Blue Ridge Mountains.
Förutom vardagsrummet / matsal och kök, huvudnivån i hemmet har sovrummet w / queen bed & badrum med badkar och dusch. På övervåningen hittar du två gäst sovrum (1 drottning, 1 & 1 twin bäddsoffa) och en 2: a badrum med badkar och dusch.
Den lägre nivån är underhållning rummet, med air hockey, ett spelbord, plattskärms-TV, en stor sittgrupp, och ... ett stort urval av brädspel.

Bald Mtn Lake stay

The house was as described, well cared for and well equipped. The lake is beautiful. Small enough to ensure that there is no motor noise, but large enough to have fun kayaking, paddle boarding fishing and swimming. The access to Rumbling Bald community amenities, with easy access to Lake Lure, golf and dining is a huge asset. Lots of steps, so not good for the infirm, but great for everyone else.

Peaceful, quiet lake retreat

This house has beautiful views, a small private dock, and lots of space. Access to Rumbling Bald was easy, and we enjoyed the beach and the spa. Despite being on a resort property, the house is private and the location on Bald Mountain Lake was very quiet, with no motorized vehicles at all on the water. We befriended a family of teenage ducklings, and we were able to rent SUPs from a local business that delivered and picked them up. The house has well functioning appliances and a fully equipped kitchen. The decks are both beautiful and could benefit from some furniture upgrades...there is a great dining set, but no comfy chairs or lounges for relaxing in those great settings. We would definitely come back!

Great family spot

My wife and I took our four kids, ages 6, 8, 10 & 12 for Independence Day Weekend. We’ve stayed in Rumbling Bald the last five years and this house did not disappoint. Plenty of Interior space and lake access with a dock which is great for kids. We will stay here again.

Such a lovely retreat

This is a great property located within the gates of Fumbling Bald. My family has had a house in RBR for many years. This year we decided to spend NYE at Lake Lure but another family member was using our house. We absolutely LOVED Mixon's Retreat and will be back again!!!! We can't wait to stay during the warmer months.

AMAZING!

This place is absolutely breathtaking. The property is well-maintained, clean, and the owners care enough to have everything you would need from a crockpot, highchair, games, to some bottles of water. The steps were a little hard for our older family member but that can't be helped. There is plenty of parking. We so much appreciated the baby gate that we didn't think to pack! Would definitely come back and recommend to anyone looking for a weekend getaway in the mountains.

Beautiful Property with a Scenic View

We had never stayed in North Carolina before but this, but our beautiful cabin definitely convinced us to return some day. The Lake Lure area is indescribably beautiful, and this cabin was the perfect place to stay. The cabin was beautifully cleaned and comfortable. The beds were comfy. I did not see one insect in the cabin, even though we were in a woodsy area. The kitchen was beautiful and had a nice dishwasher. I was excited to have wonderful cable television where we watched news and movies. As described, in the ad, we made our coffee in the morning and drank it on the beautiful deck. There is an easily accessible area to take the garbage as well. There are nice restaurants in the area as well. We hired a guide, Van in Black who took us to waterfalls in the area. We were able to hike up to them, and also there were many accessible from the road. Although the resort did not have wine tours, Van in Black took us on tours of wineries in the area. We also took a boat tour of Lake Lure. The directions left for us were perfect. If you want to stay in the Lake Lure vacation area I would consider this cabin. It is large, immaculate, comfortable and also very quiet. We felt that this was one of nicer rentals on our vacations that we had ever had. I highly recommend!

Much needed R&R!

The views are amazing! The kids enjoyed the air hockey table and all the Disney VHS movies. We had an issue with the air hockey table but it was fixed that same day. Our only negative experience was the indoor pool requires reservations and they were completely sold out our stay, so call in advance of your trip. The kids were very disappointed. Mini golf was fun though and lots of outdoor amenities, it was just a little chilly during our stay. Overall great experience!

Home on Bald Mountain Lake

This is the second time we have stayed at this lovely house. It is spacious and had all the kitchen ware we needed. It's high up above the lake and there is a pier at the bottom of lots of stairs. there is a row boat (kind of heavy, but my husband was able to get it in and out of the water by himself). We went out twice to fish and explore the lake. It was really fun. This house is near Chimney Rock state park with lots of hiking opportunities. It's also close to Lake Lure where we rented a small power boat to fish and explore. There is a large deck overlooking the water and we sat outside often just enjoying the view. I would highly recommend this house and we'll definitely go back.

Great family getaway

Nicely-appointed house with new flooring throughout. Beautiful view of the lake. Great for a Fall getaway to see the changing leaves. The layout was great for my family of four, including two teenagers that had the top floor to themselves. We enjoyed taking the boat out for quiet trips around the calm lake. Lots of games for evening entertainment. The kids really loved the air hockey table! Note that the directions from the rental agency were very confusing -- Google Maps was much easier to follow (and accurate). You will need to check in at the guard station when you arrive.

Good place to stay on the lake

The location of this house was great. It's in a private community and a long walk down the stairs to the dock but a good swimming spot. The house and surroundings are outdated, but it was clean. Pay close attention to all of the information the booking agent sends. That includes driving directions, what toiletries and amounts of towels are available. We took our own paper towels, dishwashing/laundry detergent and toilet paper and needed them. The power did go out the entire last morning of our stay and apparently this happens a good bit on the lake. It was nice to have access to the other amenities at the resort - the beach area was nice and pool was clean. Overall, a good place to stay to get away.

3 story cabin at the lake!

We loved our time here. I was happily surprised that it had 3 bathrooms, not 2 as described. Love love love the gated community it is in...so many amenities!

Great family week.

Our family of 4 had great week at this home - perfect location with lots to do, and ideal layout for fun and relaxation. Although dated, it was very clean. Our disappointment was the rusted grill that needs to be replaced ASAP. The rusted, broken trash receptacles must be replaced with bear-proof receptacles ASAP. Our trash was torn apart by bears each time we left it out in the bins provided - although fun to see the bear on our vaca it is not safe for families, bears or the environment! Our other recommendations for the house are a sharp knife set for the kitchen and lake toys (kayak, paddle board, floats for more family fun!). This house was in a beautiful setting and the surrounding area is perfect for a family vacation. Thanks!

Picturesque inside and outside!

Wonderful quarters for seven of us. A safe walk down to the water. Kayaks, canoe, smaller boats would’ve been a definite plus.
