Parking garage was a challenge. If they are full, there is no exit or place to turn around - you have to back out. The parking garage is connected to the hotel, which is very nice. The Village side room was nice, clean and spacious. The hotel is conveniently located to the Olympic Center and for shopping and dining. There were many families lodging in town for hockey tournaments so it was not quiet when trying to settle in for the night. At one point the parents were in the hall yelling at their kids and eachother regarding an incident that happened earlier. We definitely expected it to be buzzing with families and kids running around, but the yelling parents was a bit much. Take it someplace private instead of in the hallway - not everyone is there for the kids hockey tournament.

Luckily we are conveniently located within walking distance of several things, so hopefully you didn't have to move your car much. We're sorry if parents were yelling, we want everyone to enjoy their time with us. We suggest booking with us directly next time so we can let you know if any groups will be in-house and possibly suggest a better time to visit!

Notre séjour a été agréable. La chambre est propre et lit plus que confortable. Cependant, certains aspects ont déçus: le décor est défraîchi, le système de chauffage est très bruyant et l’eau chaude prend beaucoup de temps à arriver. Il a fallu laisser couler au moins 5 minutes les robinets de la douche et de l’évier avant de percevoir la moindre chaleur. La salle d’exercices sert également de dépôt pour différents objets qui ne semblent plus en usage et le sauna du vestiaire des hommes n’était pas fonctionnel. Nous sommes déçu que cet établissement ait perdu sa suberbe d’antan.

BEST VIEWS OF MIRROR LAKE IN TOWN!
We have been coming to this pet friendly hotel since our children were little (20+ years). We love the comfort and THE BEST VIEWS IN TOWN. The pet friendly rooms are lovely - not like other places that give you run down rooms when traveling with pets. The staff is so friendly too. We can't wait until our next trip!

The hotel is in the heart of Lake Placid within walking distance to restaurants and the Olympic museum. We had a room looking over Lake Mirror. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the lobby, by the fireplace, looking at the lake and mountains through the huge picture window.

Perfect Weekend
We absolutely loved our weekend stay at the Golden Arrow. Our room was perfect overlooking Mirror Lake (was able to catch a few weddings going on). The hotel is perfectly situated in the middle of town so you can walk to everything. Hotel was very clean and workers very friendly and helpful. We will be back!

Super enjoyed our stay at the Golden Arrow! We splurged on a room with lake view and it was worth it waking up to the serenity each morning. Only issue was a lot of noise from the weddings over the weekend that went pretty late, but also understandable - it’s a wedding and people were clearly have a blast. We loved the lake access and enjoyed using the kayaks and sup boards. Lots of boating equipment and safety vests - plenty for everyone so it was low stress. The beach and swimming area are lovely. Overall a great spot and we look forward to a return visit!

Serenity on the lake.
We didn’t know what to expect, but the rooms were comfortable and we couldn’t pull the kids away from the lake and all the provided activities on the lake. It would be great if they sold drinks and snacks in the little hut by the lake, but otherwise everything was fantastic!

We had just started to put out the water toys and beach set-up during your stay, but during the summer the snack shack is open with drinks and snacks! It was fabulous. The staff was so warm and welcoming. They even baked their guests - complimentary yummy oatmeal raisin cookies!! I loved my stay.

I found the 3rd floor on the lake side best. You have a balcony overlooking the lake and beach. The parking garage is safe just a little tricky to navigate.

Beautiful Hotel, Great Location
The hotel is gorgeous and very well maintained for a family owned hotel vs a corporate hotel. So much character. I will say that we didn't enjoy our stay as much as we would have liked but that was no fault of the hotel and the staff. There was a children's basketball tournament in LP the weekend we were there and the hotel was overrun with kids from age 8 - 18. And they ran through the halls and slammed doors at all hours of the night and early in the morning. Make sure that you know exactly what is going on in LP when you book if you are not booking for a specific event that you are attending. I obviously didn't check well enough on the area calendars when I booked our couple's weekend. Other than that, everything was fabulous.

Another enjoyable stay in Lake Placid!
Great hotel, great location in the village of Lake Placid. Easy to walk to shops, eateries and some activities. Rooms are clean, beds super comfortable!

The Golden Arrow was the most beautifully decorated place to stay in Lake Placid for Christmas. The great room was filled with real Christmas trees that smelled wonderful and made for the best pictures. The whole hotel was covered with lights. Our lakeside view room had a gorgeous view of sunrise on the lake each morning. The pool was warm and was our kid’s favorite amenity. Generations was accommodating and the food was delicious. We were there with a hockey group and the hotel staff were so nice to them and directed them to the gym/court for a safe place to play. The hotel had an indoor scavenger hunt for Christmas that our 7 year old had a blast completing while she was there. We could not have had a better stay.

Golden Arrow is right downtown Lake Placid and walkable to all shops and dining. Next to Olympic skating center. This was our third Thanksgiving spent at the Golden Arrow and we will be back next year.
