It’s a perfect location with close access to everything lake placid has to offer. Beautiful cottage as well, the price is cheaper compared to any hotel nearby.

Great location, quiet but close to everything.The cottage is very comfortable for 2 people.The bed is up in a loft that requires climbing a short ladder.It may be difficult for some people but no problem for us.Ted was very accommodating and the cottage had EVERYTHING we needed.Would definitely stay here again.

Adorable little cottage tucked away yet close to all the action. Ted was a great host and quite friendly. We rode the ADK rail trail, visited the Olympic Museum and watched some skating competitions. We rarely needed our car. We’d rent again if/when up in the area.

The host Ted was extremely accommodating and the cottage was so well equipped. It was especially nice that we were given chocolate chip cookies, and prosecco on our arrival. The cottage was so sweet and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend.

Amazing Stay

Highland Cottage is a great local stay in Lake Placid. Yes, the bed is up in the loft and you can’t stand up, but that was no issue for us. We loved the place and will be back.

Such an incredible stay!

Just loved everything about this place! The cabin has everything you can possibly need- and then some! Location is perfect and peaceful. Cathy is a wonderful host- super responsive and accommodating. Enjoyed every minute.

Slice of heaven

Highland cottage is a beautiful slice of lake placid. This is my second time staying here and I will definitely come again. It is walking to main Street and a short drive to the high peaks. Lots of amenities.

The host was extremely welcoming and accommodating! Excellence communication due to the snow storm and record cold negative 20 degree temps. Came over immediately to assess bathroom pipes , such great attention to customer service and always making sure I was okay in the cold weather. Always made sure sidewalks were clear and driveway was plowed. The cabin is cozy and so cute. I loved the gas fireplace, ronantic ,cozy comfortable and so clean. Well stocked kitchen and bathroom. I was very hapoy there!

We stayed here with my family for Lake Placid Ironman and this place is perfect for it. It comfortably suit our family of 4 (my wife, myself and our two kids age 5 and 8) plus my TT bike and all my triathlon gear. Cathy, the host, is great and responds quickly to messages. I would stay here again for sure.

Highland Cottage

This little cottage was perfect for our long weekend stay! So many homey touches made us feel comfortable. The interior was rustic Adirondack. A short walk (uphill) from downtown. Very convenient.

Lake Placid Cottage Stay

Super cute, quaint cottage a close walk to Main Street in Lake Placid. It was much bigger than we anticipated. We enjoyed our stay. Bed is upstairs in a loft, so we had to basically crawl in and out of it but we didn’t mind. Loved the bathroom, kitchen, and living room area. Perfect for a getaway. Highly reccommend staying here.

Like Coming Home

We've been visiting Lake Placid for years and with one exception have always stayed at the Highland Cottage. Cathy Blazer is the best host and has always provided us with a comfortable and memorable stay! Thanks as always Cathy!
