Vårt Tahoe Donner hem är ett 4 sovrum, 3 tre badrum fullt hem. Hemmet är fullt möblerat nyrenoverat och har sängar att sova 10. Huset kommer att sova upp till 11 maximalt med en madrass pad tillhandahålls. Huset har ett gourmetkök, ett utmärkt rum som enkelt kommer att rymma alla gäster i komfort, gasspis, frukostkrog, formellt matrumsbord, nedre våningssal, ping pongbord, 2 jetdrivna badkar, 4 plattskärms-TV, 2 blåstrålspelare, 2 DVD-spelare, wifi internet, tvättstuga, ett stort två bilgarage och ett nytt stort SPA! Detta är ett utmärkt hem som låter dig koppla av och skapa nya minnen i ett område som har allt att erbjuda.

Vårt hem ligger nära skidorten Tahoe Donnor, Northstar, Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows och staden Truckee. Cross Country / Equestrian Center är en väg till fantastisk ridning och mountainbike. Truckee River Legacy Trail ligger vid Truckee River Regional Park. Det finns en skridskoåkning där på vintern.

Fastigheten är en del av Tahoe-Donner Homeowners Association. Gästerna (till en liten avgift) kommer att ha tillgång till privat pool och spa, tennisbanor och klubbhus bekvämligheter och middag, golf till rabatterat pris och en privat strand och båtbåtshamn vid Donner Lake. Observera att uppfarten är graderad. En snöförbindelse tjänar på vägen på vintern, men om det finns snöfall, kan kedjor eller fyrhjulsdrift vara nödvändiga. Enkel resa i bergen är väldigt väderberoende på vintern. Husägaren är inte ansvarig för svåra körsituationer eller Tahoe Donner strömavbrott som ett resultat av stormen.

We stayed here to be close to the wedding venue and extended family, many of them visited us at the cabin because it was so close to the venue. We were glad to be able to get ready and visit everyone.

One of our favorites

This cabin is perfect for a family getaway. The downstairs bonus/game room is great for when the older kids need a separation and independence. The hot tub on the deck is a great place to relax and enjoy the winter view. The open floorplan makes it easy for everyone to enjoy each other. We had the power go out on us the last night/morning which was inconvenient, but the owners were very hospitable and understanding. Read the owners guest directions and you'll be prepared and set to enjoy a nice stay. (and bring your own wine glasses if needed - there was one and we had to fight over who used it - in fun).

Excellent home in great location

This was a fantastic house with great amenities. The location could not have been better - literally less than 5 minutes to the Donner Ski Ranch where skiing lessons were held. We highly recommend this house for up to 10 people

This property was beautiful. Although I don't recommend to stay in winter. Heavy ice to get in the garage. You can't see beautiful view. outside because there was too much snow. Other than that, the place is perfect had enough rooms for everyone . We loved it

Worst rental experience of 15 years

I am sorry to say that our weekend at this house was a complete disaster. The weekend was off to a bad start when the first car to arrive (a 4WD Subaru) needed to be towed out of the driveway by AAA due to the 3 inches of solid ice on the driveway. It was clear from the first moment that the house had not been inspected prior to our arrival, nor properly maintained throughout the winter. When we asked the host for advice and help, they said “there should be salt in the garage”. There was not, so we spent $100 buying salt at the store and 2 hours shoveling the driveway. Fast forward to the next morning: our other car (with chains) got stuck in the driveway. We spent an hour and a half shoveling and pushing the car out of the driveway. By the time we got the car out, the traffic in Truckee was so bad we couldn’t ski (we had planned to leave at 7 am to beat the traffic, but as Tahoe regulars know, leaving at 8:30 is a no-go on Saturday’s). That evening we got about a foot of snow. We asked the host to send someone to help and they never arrived until 9:45 am on Sunday morning, after we had been shoveling for 3 hours. Because of all of the time we had to spend shoveling (to try to avoid not being able to get out of the house and check out at 10 am as the host required) we were not able to do the laundry. We did however do ALL of the dishes except for a few mugs from breakfast that wouldn’t fit in the dishwasher. After checkout, we received 6 photos from the host of the “HUGE mess” we left which consisted of 1) two towels in the master bathroom, 2) the 5 mugs in the kitchen sink, 3) the kitchen trash can, which simply had trash in it, 4) an additional bag of trash that we collected and left next to the trash can, 5) two dining room chairs out of place, and 6) a singular plastic shopping bag that was left on the dining table. In my opinion, this is an extremely satisfactory state to leave a rental house upon check-out after shoveling the driveway for 3 hours instead of skiing, and paying an absurdly high cleaning fee (multiple hundreds - vrbo wont let me specify how many). The housekeeper also yelled at us as we left the house. Needless to say, this was the worst rental experience of my life: an absurd amount of stress, the neglected driveway preventing us from skiing, and the risk to our safety and vehicles due to the state of the driveway. Will not use VRBO again in Tahoe because it exposes you to the risk of negligent homeowners.

Everyday is a snow day

This is a great property in a great location for winter activities. Check in was very easy and the home was clean when we arrived. Plenty of beds for our two families and lots of indoor space for the kids to run around in. WiFi was fast and plenty of amenities to enjoy (ping pong, smart televisions, etc.). Garage access was very helpful during the near constant snow we received during our stay. The house took a little time to warm up when we arrived but the fireplace added heat and ambience. The kitchen was well appointed and the only thing we had to supply for ourselves were the toiletries. Kelly was very responsive when small issues arose during our stay. The location allowed easy access to everything we wanted to do during our stay. From ski/snowboard lessons at Tahoe Donner (4 minutes away) discounted with the guest passes, to snowshoeing at Donner Memorial State Park, to sledding at Tahoe Donner and then Sugar Bowl Sugar Rush park, and then just spending a day making epic sled runs and snow forts in the backyard of the home itself. The hot tub was fantastic for evening recovery. Grocery, dining options were nearby and we particularly enjoyed Alibi Ale Works and Summit Swirl, which has become a bit of a regular treat for the kids when we head up to that area. Thank you to Kelly for allowing us to stay. Winter break 2024 may call for a return trip!

Awesome family getaway!

We had a wonderful stay here! Everything was clean yet cozy and comfortable. Our young kids played easily and we had everything we needed for an easy family getaway. Check in and house instructions were super clear (without being tedious) and the one time we contacted Kelly with a question, she responded quickly. Definitely 5 stars and we hope to be back again!

Beautiful Property and Amazing Location

My friends and I spent the weekend here and the house was great. There was plenty of space, the kitchen was well stocked, the game room/family room was a nice additional hangout area and the hot tub was incredibly relaxing! It was also very convenient to get to Donner Lake (which is a little closer than King's Beach). The only thing that knocked off one star is that we just happened to go when it was really hot the entire weekend (90+ degrees) and the house had no AC. Although all the bedrooms were equipped with a small fan we found it very very difficult to keep cool which made our stay a little uncomfortable. Otherwise everything was great - host was responsive, check in process was easy, plenty of parking spaces and the house was very well equipped.

Fantastic home!

Home was big and inviting with lots of open space, natural light, different spaces for connecting. Kitchen was well stocked, and plenty of linens and towels available. Extra sleds and toys and ski drying rack in the garage. Hot tub was promptly fixed after we asked. Only thing to note: they do not provide bath soap. Our entire group was happy, we would definitely go again!

Family Thanksgiving Holiday

This home was the hub for our family to gather and share meals and memories over the Thanksgiving holiday 2021. We absolutely loved the coziness and comfort of the home. The home was beautifully decorated with a chefs dream kitchen so well equipped that we didn’t need the supplies we brought. The only thing we really needed was our food. The owners were absolutely helpful and communicative with us which I really appreciated. The only issue we had during our stay was with the wifi and availability of live TV stations to watch sports games. The owner spent time with me on Thanksgiving day to try to resolve the issues which was very appreciated however the live TV issue never got resolved. The wifi issue was resolved but overall the connection was very weak. Better wfi and live TV would have made our total experience perfection.

Nice Place

We had a great stay at the property. House was well kept and had everything you would need except patio, deck furniture. there is a older metal dinning table and metal chairs associated for the table, but no other furniture- loungers, sitting chairs, etc. Several decks around the home none with furniture. Would have loved to have sat outside and read for a bit. Regardless, the house was a great stay. One final comment- get smart TVs for all rooms with TVs. Nice home, great stay, excellent for families and even with the minor inconveniences the home was great. Property management was very responsive and pleasing to deal with. If you have a family this is great home for you.

Great family house!

We were up there during the wildfires and had to stay indoors a lot. However this gave us more time to to enjoy the house. It is spacious with 2 separate living areas with TVs great for multiple families. We loved the hot tub! Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Wonderful!

We had such a nice week staying at this home. Ended up only being three of us due to changes in plans, but we had a wonderful time with a ton of space! We loved the hot tub and the ping pong table. The home is beautifully decorated, super comfy beds and all the extras you would need. We were easily able to get our Yukon in the garage which was great as well. Will definitely stay again!

Classic Winter Retreat

We are so thankful that we had to opportunity to spend time in this wonderful, Tahoe Donner home. It exceeded our expectations in every way - from location to the hot tub. We spent most of our time in the great room (truly great!) and rec room (which inspired our own remodeling plans) . Absolutely Perfect

Property is perfectly situated between all the kids' favorite resorts. Property is well stocked, easy to find, in a great location (just minutes from downtown truckee) and the owner is beyond pleasant to work with. I can see our family staying here again.

Enjoyed our stay - would reccomment for others

Not ADA compliant. No handicap bars available in bathrooms. Tubs difficult to get into and out of for showers. Lots of stairs. Beautiful setup for lots of people Didn't seem crowded for 8 adults. Beautiful weather and lots of decks to enjoy the sunshine.

Memorable stay at a beautiful mountain home

We were happy to have found such a beautiful mountain cabin for rent. We had grandparents visiting from Europe, and we truly enjoyed our time at Tahoe Donner. We played numerous table tennis games and used the spa in the evenings. Cabin decor was very fitting such a beautiful mountain home and made our stay very memorable. We are hoping to come back soon!
