Enjoy the perfect getaway in this fully furnished, cozy cottage, just steps away from Chautauqua Lake. 2 bedroom (1 - King, 1 - Bunkbed), 1 full bath, living room w/ sectional sleeper sofa, fully equipped kitchen, breakfast nook, washer & dryer. Spend your mornings drinking coffee on the front deck & nights around the fire pit roasting marshmallows. Kayak during the day & a dip and relax in the private hot tub after a long day on the slopes! Enjoy everything that Chautauqua Lake has to offer!

Enjoy everything that Chautauqua Lake has to offer - incredible fishing, water activities, wineries, breweries, local restaurants and coffee shops, etc. Don't forget nearby skiing, snowmobiling and ice-fishing in the winter seasons too!

Relaxing Getaway

Overall we were really happy with our stay! Clean interior, quiet neighborhood and all the essentials were provided. Wegmans grocery store is very close as well as plenty of local restaurants. The host was incredibly responsive which I really appreciated! Just an FYI: there is no direct lake view from the property other than between the houses across the street but it's easily within walking distance. This was a perfect property for a quiet, relaxing get away.

Lake Chautauqua

A lovely cottage with all that we needed to relax and enjoy the lake. Clean with comfortable beds and lots of towels for everyone. A plus for the use of 2 kayaks to paddle out on the lake. Great location to everything we wanted to do. Loved being here for fun in the sun!

Chautauqua Lake Getaway

I'll start my review by saying any vacation is what you make it out to be. My wife and I, along with another couple, travel frequently and consider ourselves to be laid back and low maintenance. We've always wanted to visit the Chautauqua region in the summer and this year seemed perfect. Upon arrival, we immediately found the cottage to be cute and nicely decorated. It was the perfect size for (4) people and offered a suitable amount of amenities. It even featured a front yard fire pit and a back patio with a hot tub and plenty of seating. The proximity of its location was close to the lake (directly across the street), and within a few minutes drive to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Also, the digital handbook received at check-in provided much information about the cottage and surrounding area. That said, there are negatives and suggestions to be made. First, we thought the interior and exterior needed some love. Wear and tear is normal over time, but a periodic coat of paint can help mask an aging property. Also, the patios were filthy and needed wiped down, de-cobwebbed, and broomed. These are things the "host/service" fees should cover. Visitors wanting to sit on a patio shouldn't have to clean it first. Also, the kitchen has a minor ant issue that needs addressed, but nothing a few traps can't fix. Lastly, this cottage only has a ceiling fan and two bedroom a/c units. No true ventilation in the bathroom. It can make for an uncomfortable stay if it's hot and humid.

GREAT Place

Needed a quiet little place to get away and rest, and this place was perfect! Wonderful little cabin with everything you need to hide away. The hot tub was a real bonus and having the kayaks available was a true treat! Spent 2 hours out on the lake! I would not only highly recommend this place, but I will also be booking it in the future as well. Had a small issue the first night we were there, the owner was very responsive and helpful!

Review

Very clean cute lil house, could use some more cook wear. And the top bunk isn’t a real mattress it’s sleeping on wood. Three of the girls swore the heard a child laughing multiple times through the night, me or the other girl heard anything, so don’t know if it’s haunted or they were hearing something else thinking it was that and freaking themselves out. But overall the house was very clean the hot tub is a nice touch!

Great Stay

We had a great stay! The house is nicely updated and comfortable. We didn’t plan to do a lot on this trip and stayed in the whole time. The house provided everything we needed for our stay. We would stay here again!

“Lake Views”, “steps”and hot tub

My husband and I enjoyed our trip overall-the weather was warmer than expected so perhaps the property owners “skipped” cleaning the hot tub? It was not usable (gross! It had scum floating on top! Smelled dirty and sandy!) which was a disappointment. Also it was one of the perks that set it apart from other properties in our search -as well as “steps to public pier” was 1mile away and “lake views” an exaggeration ( let’s not blame the owner for the property next door which is abandoned) The last criticism I will add is the fire pit- and “no fires” on property rule? The cottage itself was very nicely renovated but I would describe it as a “camp..”
