âOur girl's trip brought us to this adorable Inn for 3 nights. This is obviously an older building, but it has so much charm! There was comfortable wicker furniture with cushions outside our door so we could enjoy the patio in the evening. The hotel also has a market that you can walk to that serves an AMAZING lobster mac & cheese! They also do fresh, steamed lobster dinners on demand for much cheaper than you will pay in Bar Harbor.

âThis is my third time staying here and Iâve never been disappointed. Iâve stayed here twice during the summer and once during the fall. The rooms are super cozy. The room is always so clean and smells great. Itâs close enough to downtown and Arcadia National Park. When in the room you canât hear the traffic. Hanscomâs is definitely a diamond in the rough. I also have to say Isis who works at the property is always super nice and fast with responding if you email her. â
âLook no further! This is the first inn I have ever stayed at! The host is extremely kind and is willing to give you all the good tips and tricks to the area. My boyfriend and I stayed one night there and did a good amount of exploring in the time we had! We ate at Ben&Me's (fabulous hot dogs and blueberry ice cream) which was recommended by our hostess! In the morning, I woke and watched the sunrise from the window facing the harbor of our room and it was just beautiful. We ate breakfast there...
âWe did our research and knew what to expect when it came to showers, electricity, etc. Staff was excellent - very accommodating. We would stay at Under Canvas again. Only slight negative, we underestimated the number of families with small children. â
âRooms in the motel part are very simple. Clean but borderline to simple with an old carpet, simple ceilings, uncoordinated very simple furniture . Bed is comfortable. Hotel lies on a very cozy street.â
âI saw several reviews knocking this place. It's not a Hilton, it's a nice roadside motel. I saw 1 spider, no roaches or drug addicts in the parking lot. What i did observe, was a place that was reasonable priced, central to what i needed. Staff was friendly, polite, and my room was very clean (just older facility). I would hesitate to stay here again if i ever came back to Acadia. â
âLocation was great, the beds super comfortable, the bathroom and shower was super clean. You need a car ah also convenient for Bar Harbor en 15 20 minutes and Acadia Park. A plus, the view at the lake! Highly recommended and affordable! â
