Om du har kört av har du undrat om historien om denna vackra stenbyggnad. Denna charmiga och historiska byggnad byggdes 1832 som ett rum med ett rum - en funktion som den tjänade fram till 1950 - sedan 1998.

Vackert beläget mitt i hästgårdar på den natursköna vägen till Mt Greylock. I Berkshires centrum, 5 miles från skidområdet Jiminy Peak, 15 miles från South Williamstown, 25 miles från Tanglewood och Mass MoCA och 30 miles från Jacob's Pillow. 5 miles till Pittsfield och Berkshire Mall. Privat trädgård. 5 tunnland fastighet i ryggen där hästar och kor betar.

Allt är ...: fullt möblerad mestadels med antikviteter. Sängar, sängkläder, filtar, kuddar, handdukar, strykjärn och strykbräda. Litet kök med mini spis / ugn, kylskåp, mikrovågsugn, Keurig kaffebryggare med sortiment kaffe, te och varm choklad, grytor och stekpannor, disk, bestick etc. Bredbandsinternet och TV med Netflix, Hulu och andra streamingalternativ ingår.

Det finns 2 våningar. Den första våningen är det gamla klassrummet med gamla skrivbord. Det finns också en rullande säng som kan användas som två tvillingar. Badrummet ligger på första våningen. 2: a våningen är som en studiolägenhet - med en dubbelsäng och en dubbelsäng. Dessutom ett litet men komplett kök. OBS: Det finns ett badrum på första våningen.

Perfekt för en romantisk tillflyktsort eller för en familj på 4-6. En avgift på $ 25 / natt gäller för ytterligare vuxna efter de två första. Ingen extra kostnad för barn. Ange antalet barn i ditt meddelande till oss, men välj 0 barn i rullgardinsmenyn så att du inte debiteras.

Old Stone School finns att hyra 12 månader per år. Varje säsong har sina fördelar:

VÅR - Träd kommer från vintern som sporer sin flyktiga vårgröna färg, påskliljor, tulpaner, vandringsleder är öppna, njut av det varma vädret efter en lång vinter! Kalvar visas på kullen bakom skolhuset.

SOMMER - Blommor som blommar, bär att plocka, utomhusaktiviteter i närheten, kultur överallt - Tanglewood, Jacobs kudde, Barrington scen, Clark Art Museum, MassMoCA, Williams College Museum of Art, etc.

FALL - Njut av kalejdoskopet med höstfärger som täcker kullarna bakom skolhuset. Hike Mt. Greylock - korta och långa vandringar. Gå upp och kolla Bascom Lodge - ett stopp på Appalachian Trail.

WINTER - Jiminy Peak är mindre än 10 minuter. bort. Skid- eller snöröret vid Bousquet är 20 minuter. bort. Längdskidåkning i åkarna ut eller tillbaka till Hilltop Orchards i Richmond eller Notchview i Windsor.

What a fantastic place! Felt as if we were transported back in time. So much care and love has been put into making the Stone School Cottage welcoming and warm, and it shows throughout. A perfect staging spot for Berkshire adventures with my family, and a temporary home we anticipated returning to at the end of each day. Great hosts who are ready to assist with anything you might need, and they make it all so easy (check in, check out, questions). Am looking forward to my next visit!

Cute, historic cottage, close to Mt. Greylock

The property was very comfortable, nicely decorated, with good amenities. Downstairs is an historic school room from the 1800s; upstairs is the main living space.It's in a nice area, convenient to Mt. Greylock, close to lots of attractions.The owners were easy to reach and very nice.We highly recommend this property.

Such a very nice place!

It was a very quiet unique place to stay! You get a beautiful place with a lot of history and Good feel! I sent a picture to my dad and he Remembered using those same desks when he was a kid. Very nice weekend.

Historic quaint getaway in Berkshires near Mt Greylock

The stone school house was such a unique property and a really cool piece of history. The owners clearly take pride in acknowledging that history with the decor and informative photographs/binders, etc. Not only that, but the space was clean and cozy, and had everything we needed. The neighborhood is just gorgeous and so convenient - you are a few minutes from the visitor's center at Mt Greylock for amazing hiking, plus only 20 minutes to charming little towns like Williamstown and North Adams as well. I would highly recommend the Stone School House!

Historic Stay

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at this old schoolhouse. The attention to detail was impressive, right down to freshly cut flowers throughout. We loved that the history of the schoolhouse was on display, along with interesting relics from the 1800s/early 1900s. Everything was great and we hope to return one day!

Weekend at Tanglewood

We were looking for a relaxing place for a weekend away, ending with a concert at Tanglewood...I came across the old school house, was immediately taken with it, and it did not disappoint. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this unique placec with close access to local hiking and biking options. Rich and Cheryl were gracious and flexible hosts.

Such a piece of history

I cannot compliment Cheryl enough. She thought of everything when decorating the old school from the chalkboard filled with notes from old students to the collection of books and desks. My sister and I had such an extraordinarily wonderful time staying at the school for five nights. It was unseasonably warm and Cheryl provided extra fans, fresh flowers and the friendliness every single day. Not often do you meet a host that you want to stay in contact with. The whole of the village was like that everywhere we stopped. The location was perfect. We drove just a few miles to a beautiful hike. The country road with the rescue ponies, alpacas and horses and wildflowers was perfect for an evening walk. The lake, the ice cream shops and farm stands, just magical. Thank you so much. Shannon

Total Perfection

I adored my stay at The Stone School. Rich and Cheryl were terrific hosts who had great suggestions for food and things to do. And the whole experience was easy to navigate. Excellent marks for cleanliness, comfort, ease of parking, quiet & solitude, quaintness, local pleasures. I found it perfect for myself and it would also be ideal for a couple (or perhaps a couple with one or two young children.) The bathroom is on the first floor with a modern sink and vanity; everything looks brand new, and there are plenty of linens and towels. The one drawback here is that it is a shared bathroom and the toilet has no door because of the way the building is constructed, which is why I say it's great for a single person or couple with small children. A very minor quibble for this charming place. Though it's located directly on N. Main Street in Lanesborough, I was never bothered by noise - there is very little car traffic - and the whole atmosphere was quaint and relaxing. Highly recommend and planning to go back soon.

Magical lil retreat

I had a wonderful time. The lil stone house school is restored in a loving way! It feels homie and cosy and has a lot of stories to tell. The location is great for seeing museums or just go for a hike. Rich and Cheryl are on top with everything and very nice hosts!
