Wildlife Lakeside Cottage beautiful views, amazing wildlife, great location

  • Ljus och luftig – så kan man beskriva den nyrenoverade stugan, som präglas av spektakulära trädetaljer överallt och nyinredda rum. Marmorplattor med golvvärme ger en mysig värme under de svalare stunderna när gästerna samlas i det stora köket på 20 x 20'. På bottenvåningen finns ett sovrum med queen size-säng och katedraltak, samt ett extra dusch- och toalettutrymme med fantastisk utsikt över sjön! På bottenvåningen finns även ett komplett badrum med bubbelbadkar och dusch. På övervåningen finns ytterligare ett sovrum med queen size-säng samt ett tredje rum med två enkelsängar; dessa delar på ett praktiskt beläget toalettrum. Huset har en inglasad veranda och flera platser både inne och ute där man kan observera det rika djurlivet. Fågelälskare kommer att lockas av ett fantastiskt naturreservat där man kan se ankor, blåhägrar, gäss, sångfåglar och till och med en och annan vithövdad örn! Utomhusaktiviteter som löpning/cykling, fiske och båtliv ligger inom bekvämt gångavstånd. I den intilliggande sjön växer det säsongsvis vattenväxter, särskilt under sommarmånaderna, vilket kan begränsa vattenaktiviteterna. A great great spot. Very charming, very private, highly recommend. Communication with host was very easy and quick response.The location is very lovely and it feels very isolated while being very close to the main area.

The house was great for the 5 people that stayed there. Plenty of room to be together or apart. We enjoyed being able to cook and eat in the kitchen. Unfortunately the water at this time of year was totally green from the growth in the lake. However it was a very peaceful and pleasant location. We also found the screened in porch a nice place to spend time.

Relaxing lakeside getaway

We loved our stay at this cute, comfortable house -- drinking coffee on the deck and watching the birds, biking and dog walking on the nearby Ashuwillticook trail, relaxing on the screened porch in the afternoon. Very nice kitchen and bath, with everything you could need for a relaxing getaway!

We enjoyed relaxing, an easy walk to a great rail trail, visiting Balance Rock and great takeout food. Love that our pup is able to join us.

Quiet lakeside retreat

We love this comfortable cottage and quiet location, perfect for a relaxing vacation spent bird watching, biking the nearby rail trail, and hiking with our dog. This was our fourth time staying here-- impressed with the beautiful updates to the master bedroom, now a suite with its own bathroom! We'll be coming back again!

Beautiful location, within 30 minutes of everything you would want to do in the Berkshires. We spent 5 days there and want to return. There is so much to see and do. The house is very nice. There is a master suite on the 1st floor that is huge and very comfortable. The other two bedrooms are upstairs. The stairs are quite steep. This was fine for our group though. We spent most of our time (when we were actually at the house) on the delightful deck and in the garden. The outside space is especially nice. Bottom line - we would definitely stay again. It was a wonderful trip

Perfect Trip!

This lake house was exactly what we hoped for in an anniversary weekend trip. The wildlife, peacefulness, hot tub, and bonfire were all perfect. Jill was so quick to respond and seemed to really care about the quality of our time at her home. We’d love to come again!

Host was very responsive. And when it snowed, they coordinated somebody to come and snowblow the driveway (twice!). Place is very quiet, spacious. Directions for how to use the home was very straightforward! (thermostats, jacuzzi)Great experience!

This house is immaculate. Loved the fire pit and the jacuzzi. Very comfortable house. We spent quite a bit of time relaxing on the deck of the living room. We did get a bit lost getting there, but the caretaker, Jill, was readily available and not only helped us with directions, but gave us suggestions on where to go for groceries, etc. Very friendly and helpful woman.

Great time

Very clean, comfortable and secluded without being isolated. A big portion of the backyard was literally underwater due to the unusual amount of rain. But the water was clean and the kids and the dog had a blast playing in it!

The house was very comfortable for our family of four. Very peaceful location perfect for relaxing out on the deck. The kitchen could use additional glassware and a new coffee maker. Otherwise the house is well equipped.

Lovely home next to lake. Many hiking/lake spots within a reasonable drive. Lovely small waterfall along the driveway. Very close to rail trail. Walk to fishing spot as well as good fishing in nearby lakes. As noted in the property description,on/in the lake activities during the summer months are limited by plant growth in the lake. Spent sometime watching the birds on the lake. Dog friendly. Would stay here again.

Great spot for a few day stay!

We enjoyed our stay at the lake house. House was cute and location was great for what we were there for , less then 15 minutes from skiing. There’s a target less then two miles away and a good bar/ restaurant also two miles away. Good for a burger or a sandwich. Communication with the property owner was outstanding, she was quick to answer any questions we had and to let us know she was there if we needed anything ! We look forward to coming back again.

Great Spot

This was a great spot, it felt like we were on our own private island! Cabin is on the small side, but has everything you need with spectacular lake views. My kids are in college in Mass and NY, so it was better to rent the house and meet there for Thanksgiving, we had a wonderful time. Antiquing and other activities in the area. Also great hiking, but a little too cold on our trip. We did miss having a dishwasher
