Casa Vostra is an air-conditioned hillside villa for up to ten people offering tranquillity and stunning views of the sea and mountains from its long balcony. The house is nice and well equipped with 500 Mbps Internet and a private saltwater pool integrated into a wooden sun deck (newly installed in 2023). In addition, there is access to a larger pool and a tennis court in the domain. The private pool is available from June through September.
On the main level of the villa there are two double bedrooms, one with an ensuite bathroom, as well as a spacious kitchen and dining room, a cozy TV room, and a large bathroom with two toilets, one with separate entrance. On the upper floor, two more double bedrooms are found. On the lower level of the villa there is a double bedroom with its own entrance and ensuite toilet, as well as a laundry room and a nice, covered terrace with a large dining table and a simple kitchen desk for outside electric grill cooking.
The villa is just a short drive up from Laroque-des-Albères, a charming village with an impressive range of cafes and restaurants as The Guardian wrote about in August 2023: Laroque-des-Albères sits above the Côte Vermeille in the foothills of the eastern Pyrenees. It’s a delight, with winding streets leading to a tower with spectacular views of the Mediterranean coast. But the real secret lies in the Albères hills. The village is the starting point for many walks – the least ambitious but loveliest of which is a 20-minute stroll taking you to natural river pools. An idyllic setting for a shady and often solitary swim away from the heat of the coast. Refresh with a beer or glass of banyuls wine at Café des Artistes.
The region with over 330 sunny days a year offers numerous great excursion destinations and experiences. Picturesque Collioure, art chic Céret and cosmopolitan Perpignan as well as Superb Mediterranean beaches just to mention a few highlights, are all within half an hour's drive away. And just outside the villa there is access to hiking trails in the beautiful Massif des Albères; walk down to Laroque, over the mountains and towards the sea or further into the majestic Pyrenees. The Mediterranean Pyrenees region has so much to offer.
