Pärla i Le Morne
Mycket trevlig personal med fin service, kändes vänligt och mottagande. Dock tycker inte jag det riktigt lever upp till priset, men väldigt nära.

The best hotel on Le Morne beach
One of the best hotel we ever have been to. We went to other hotels along Le Morne beach and Lux i absolutely the best so don’t book anything else. Sunbeds to everyone and easy to get a beachfront seat at all the restaurants. Beautiful with the 550 meters high Le Morne mountain. Quiet and peaceful with 2 nice pools. No mosquitos and no jellyfish, take a boattour just 10 min and snorkel with dolphis.

Väldigt fint hotellområde och jättetrevlig personal med jättebra service. Frukosten jättebra men övriga maten var sådär tyckte vi. Tröttnade lätt då vi var där i 14 dagar och det fanns bara två restauranger ( en ”vanlig” och en thailändsk) samt en resturang som serverade olika bufféer varje kväll. Priser på mat och dryck var dyrare än hemma. Perfekt hotell om man är ute efter sol och bad och total avkoppling. Det finns ingen shopping alls och hotellet ligger i ett område helt utanför civilisationen. Väldigt naturskönt område. Vi hyrde bil när vi var där och det var mycket billigare än Taxi och nödvändigt tyckte vi när man var där i två veckor för att kunna se något annat än bara hotellområdet.

Jättefin resort med fin strand , bra service. Bra mat kan bara säga en negativ sak om resorten rummet vara lite litet nästa gång bokar vi ett större rum . Hit vill vi åka igen.

Drömsemester
Vi bodde tolv nätter på LUX* Le Morne under lågsäsong (juli och augusti) och är supernöjda. Hotellet ligger väldigt fint vid vattnet och skyddat från områdets kraftiga vindar (som gör det populärt bland kitesurfare) bakom Le Morne Brabant Mountain. Vattnet var varmt nog för två badkrukor och vädret klart bättre än i Sverige trots att vi var där under deras vinter. Det är gott om fisk i lagunen för den som gillar att snorkla. Servicen var utmärkt och en hel del aktiviteter ingick i priset. De som inte ingick hade priser likt i Sverige. Vi betalade endast frukost i förväg, vilket vi tycker var bra då inte allt ingick i all-inclusive. Hotellets tre restauranger håller alla bra nivå, men vår favorit var den asiatiska som höll en jämn och hög nivå. Något vi tyckte var extra bra var att man inte skulle dricksa till personalen utan lämna till en dricks till en pool när man åkte vilket gjorde att man aldrig behövde tänka på det eller springa runt med kontanter. Åker man till Mauritius så bör man även ge sig ut utanför hotellet för att uppleva ön. Hotellet ordnar flera bra aktiviteter. Vi kan rekommendera vandringen (tuff vandring) upp på det intilliggande berget där man får en underbar vy av Le Morne samt den guidade heldagsturerna turerna med hotellets chaufför.

We spent several nights at Lux following 4 nights at a neighbouring hotel as part of our honeymoon. The service was what really let it down the most unfortunately, especially in direct comparison to the other hotel we stayed in, which was exceptional. I was surprised that this is a 5* hotel as the standard of service is more in line with a 4*. At breakfast the staff seem quite hurried and stressed and the wait for a coffee/ hot beverage can take as long as 20-25 mins. In general the staff are not as attentive as they should be and it can take up to 10-15 mins to get served when sat at the bars or on sun loungers. They seem to have quite a few inexperienced staff who are not confident in waiting tables or serving. The Wi-Fi at the hotel is very poor and intermittent, which can get quite frustrating. We were not pre warned about the insect fogging which happens every evening and consists of a very loud machine which pumps plumes of very potent white smoke and chemicals around the buildings. If you are outside enjoying the facilities when this happens you are often caught up in the smoke, which is really unpleasant. On two occasions our room wasn’t cleaned until 5pm, which was quite inconvenient when we needed to use it. There were quite a few issues with smoke/ fire alarms going off in the bars and restaurants, on one occasion the alarm went off 4 times in 10 minutes when we were having drinks. On the last day of our stay the water in our rooms stopped working.

Un hôtel au pied de l'imposant Morne, les chambres et les salles de bain sont spacieuses, les matelas sur la plage confortable, un personnel très attentionné, un service irréprochable, 4 restaurants, les buffets sont généreux et de bonne qualité, un restaurant japonnais extraordinaire. Pour ceux qui cherche tranquillité, c'est l’hôtel idéal, par rien lorsqu'on sort de l'hôtel, pas de boutique, pas de restaurant... il faut prendre un taxi.

Beyond Underwhelming. From disorganisation during check in to poor upkeep of hotel and below average quality of food Lux* Le Morne fails to deliver a luxury experience worthy of the overall setting and price point. As with all Lux* properties there is a lack of ambience and a massive training gap resulting in consistently poor service and lack of interest on behalf of staff to accommodate guests.

Absolutely one of the ultimate experiences in my life. Witn Le Mourne mountain as backdrop trough out your stay and round the corner access to hiking trail to scale Le Mourne with breathtaking views. Swim to bar with the nicest and coolest bar staff imaginable An absolute must do. All eating facilities simplify outstanding.

As I am a gold member of Hotels.com I expected an ugrade as published on the booking confirmation ( If available) No upgrade over the 5 days I suggest that Lux Le Morne and Hotels.com just stop this marketing action as it frustrates customers only. Management didn't care and was never present. Our room weas very old and worn out. The toilett was smelling and a dirty fluid flow from the shower into the toilett. Thai restaurant was good. The Beach restaurant had a good pasta however the duck was nearly not eatable. Location and sea is great.Personal at reception did not care. Check in person was unfriendly and there was no time available to ask anything.

Un séjour fabuleux avec romantisme, calme, exclusivité... We had a wonderuful stay at Luxe Le Morne for our honeymoon! The location is perfect for a quiet holiday getaway, very peaceful and relaxing. The manager and hotel staff made to sure to make our experience special by surprising us with little gifts in our room (champagne, canapés, cocktails etc), it was a nice touch. The room was lovely, overlooking the beach and we had a great view of the sunset every night! Resort had 3 restaurants to choose from which were all decent with the Kitchen restaurant offering a daily and expansive buffet breakfast, but we were quite disappointed to find out the Japanese restaurant was closed down only when we arrived at the property. The free water sports activities at the hotel were fantastic along with the Lux spa, where we were kindly gifted a free 45min honeymooners massage. We also really enjoyed the movie on the beach our last night where the hotel offered drinks and popcorn. Resort offered other daily specials which all required advance booking (which we were not made aware of until we checked in), so we unfortunately missed out on a lot of the extra fun/romantic things to do at the property. Our only criticism was that because our booking was made through Expedia, nobody from the resort contacted us in advance to inform us about advance bookings required for restaurants, experiences, airport transfers etc (this is what would have really elevated our experience). Overall, Highly recommend this beautiful resort.

A very complete buffet, The spa area is really a place to relax in. The facilities and the wimming pools are amazing. I am already recommending it to my friends here and will surely visit them next year.

Went there for 10 days on honeymoon. Unbelievable setting, pristine beach, food and caring staff. We went all-inclusive and never had a bad meal. Only negative would be there are still a lot of extras you need to pay such as certain restaurants, yoga or HIIT classes on the beach etc which made it quite confusing what was included. Overall, would highly recommend

Idyllic
Amazing resort in an idyllic location. Perfect base for exploring the South West of the island. Room and resort was well maintained, very clean and minor issues were fixed quickly and without fuss. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Whilst here, we attended the plant based cooking course, with chef Abhishek, which was great fun. It was a great introduction to Mauritian cuisine, and a good chance to meet other guests, as well as learning from a top class teacher. The food in general at the resort was consistently of the highest standard; we enjoyed, in particular, eating at the restaurant East - the Thai food there was some of the best we have ever had. Would definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant for any guests staying here. We also visited the spa, for a couple’s massage, and spa facilities which were lovely.

Fantastique, le cadre est magnifique. Chambre superbe qui donne directement sur la plage. Équipement au top, douche extérieur super sympa. Et le personnel est au petit soin, gentils et attentionné. Et le bonus, sortie en mer avec dauphins et 2 baleines via l’hotel. Merci à Hoossen qui jusqu’au départ nous a conseillé pour la route pour ce rendre à l’aéroport en passant par la côte.

Stunning location
What an absolutely stunning location! Absolutely beautiful! A proper honeymoon location. Room was comfortable and very clean. Mini bar facilities in the room were the best I’ve seen. Beach was pristine. Cocktails at the bar beside the beach were awesome. Staff were mostly really attentive. The only real negative for me: I resent, after paying an arm and a leg to come in the first place, having to pay extra to experience anything other than the main (buffet-style) restaurant. (Food was nice in the restaurant but we experienced nicer in nearby town La Gaulette). But all in all an absolutely beautiful resort.
