âWe LOVED our stay at Chalet Christine. The hotel has a perfect unimpeded view of the lake and mountains, creating a zen relaxing experience, and the pool and jacuzzi add to the relaxing vibe. Breakfast was perfect, the room was gorgeous and comfortable. Elodie at the check-in desk was incredibly kind and friendly, she gave us great advice on what to do around the lake and helped us get reservations at an amazing restaurant. âVery well situated to all the major attractions. Walking distance to everywhere. One can rent electrical bikes by booking ahead of time. They have a pool if one does not want to spend all day bathing in the lake, although the lake is refreshing to bath in. The beds are not too comfortable, a bit too hard and the pillows are definitely something I would change if I was the hotel owner. â

âModern spacious hotel rooms at a perfect location by the lake and quite close to the old city center. The hotel bar closed too early (11pm) but otherwise the service was up to standard. The hotel restaurant was of good quality and the breakfast served perfect pain au chocolat. The only downside was the unnecessarily loud pling from the elevator that penetrated into the rooms. â

âStannade 2 nĂ€tter fredag-söndag, skulle Ă„ka skidor men tyvĂ€rr hade det inte snöat tillrĂ€ckligt sĂ„ att liftarna var stĂ€ngda, perfekt lĂ€ge annars dĂ„ 2st liftar ligger mindre Ă€n 100m bort, sĂ„ ett Ă€kta ski in/out hotel. Maten var kanon för att inte sĂ€ga vĂ€ldigt bra, rummen medelnivĂ„ men frĂ€scha, fint badrum och gott om plats för packning, bra service - speciellt i receptionen som fixade sĂ„ att allt blev sĂ„ enkelt som möjligt, fin inomhuspool. Totalt sett ett jĂ€ttefint hotel som vi gĂ€rna besöker igen...
âVi Ă„kte till omrĂ„det för att cykla, blev mycket positivt överaskade av hotellets lĂ€ge, service och rejĂ€la frukost. Priset var oklanderligt mycket bra för vĂ„ra tre nĂ€tter pĂ„ Christiania.â

During our vacation in France this September, my husband and I accidentally stumbled upon the beautiful ChĂąteau de Thorens.
The weather wasn't the best, paragliding out of the question and swimming in the Lac was nice, but a bit chilly...even for norwegians. We were looking for something else. Something exeptional.
And we most definately found it!
From the first glimpse of the castle though the trees by the narrow road, to the moment we had to leave, it was pure magic.

âA top notch hotel! A lovely view, high standard and nice surroundings outside (+1 km from old town) the hotel. However we were surprised that the restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays, one of the USP is the restaurant. In winter time, not walking distance to other restaurants (old town), and no taxis, Bolt or Uber!â
âStay here ! Here is a really fun and cozy hotel. Walk out from the door and you have the nature and hiking right outside the door. Inside is so nice. Warm and a lot of nice and speciell interiour decoration. We stayed in the musicroom. It was guitars and recordplayer to use. So fun. Clean and comfartable bathroom. If i shall complain about one thing it is the bed. The bed is hard and not so comfy. But overall it is a very nice place and i want to come back. â
âEverything was fine, just a small problem starting the heating. Thanks to Alexandre for coming quickly to help me. The restart attempt was not very conclusive. A technician was supposed to come the next day. During the night the heating started up again and unblocked itself. Otherwise, good stay, perfect place. It's true that this system lacks relationships and human contact. The key handover system is absolutely perfect and efficient. Thank you, I will come back.â
