Cute stay in horse country
The house was very cute and comfortable. We had the basics as needed in the apartment. The beds and linen made for a good night sleep. Having 2 full bathrooms was great. The drive from Lexington was so scenic. Definitely check out Wallace Station Deli right down the road. I would recommend this place to others traveling to the area.

Great stay

Great place close to Midway and wedding venue
We came to Midway for a wedding at Merefield Farms. This is a great little house with plenty of sleeping options . . very clean and cute. Its only about 5 min from Midway where there are some shops and great restaurants. Fun to walk the neighborhood too and enjoy the historic homes if you're an architecture nerd like me. Easy drive to the wedding venue too. Owners were very kind and helpful. Thank you Carol and John!

Clean, cute, and cozy cottage
What a sweet place to stay! The hosts were accommodating, the house was clean and offered all sorts of amenities. Beds were comfortable and the location was very convenient to Midway and Lexington. We visit the Kentucky Horse Park often and plan to stay here again when we do. Thank you for sharing your property.

Wonderful cottage-home comforts
Wonderful! Very relaxing atmosphere. Cottage is beautifully decorated and has a warm feel about it. It was easy to arrive and be comfortable instantly. Situated across from a horse farm and you could hear chickens in the distance, but quiet most of the time. We would definitely stay there again!

Perfect weekend getaway
We loved our weekend getaway! We were traveling for our twin daughters birthday and a concert in the area. The home was clean and inviting. Beds were comfortable, everything was well stocked. John and Carol were the perfect hosts, quick responses to every question, they were kind enough to leave smores supplies and a local drink for our family. Though we didn't get to utilize the firepit due to wind, we were able to make them inside and enjoy family movie and game night. We will definitely return next time we will be in the area.

Wonderful cottage in the country!
Lovely place with all the nice, homey touches! Very comfortable and has everything you could possibly need during your stay. Just minutes from some great restaurants in Midway. Good central location. I highly recommend!

Fabulous house and location.
We come to Lexington 3 or 4 times a year and frequent the Midway area. This house was exactly what we needed to find and will be back. The decor is very tasteful and fun. Very clean and hosts were very nice. Felt at home.

What a Gem!
This property was an incredible find! The photos only give you a small glimpse of how great this property really is! It was extremely roomy and comfortable, the property offers an outdoor area to relax, unwind, and contemplate the beauty of your surroundings. This property was a short drive to Midway's Main St. area and the Bourbon Trail, is nestled in between several local thoroughbred farms and only a short drive to Old Friends. Carol and John are wonderful hosts and so nice to chat with! I couldn't ask for a better place to stay. I plan on returning and hope to do so soon! Thank you, Carol and John.

The perfect place to relax.
We are retired and wanted a comfortable place close to town, but away from noise and bustle. We found it! This house has super comfortable beds, great bathrooms with four-star hotel towels. The kitchen is kitted out with everything you need and was spic and span. The living room has everything you need for a lazy rainy day: comfy sofas, puzzles, games, books… and yes, great tv reception and Wi-Fi. The town of Midway is just up the road, with shops and restaurants, and railroad tracks right down the middle of the street. The hosts, Carol and John are the best! Friendly, caring but never pushy. We stayed a week and can’t wait to go back.

Nice place. One problem
The cottage was in a nice neighborhood and was clean throughout. The covered parking would be a bonus, if it is raining. On the second night of our stay, the hot water seemed to be getting cool. Upon awaking very early the next morning, there was no hot water. We did not contact the owner because of the early hour and we had to leave. That was the only disappointing part of our stay.

Wow, I'm so sorry. The fact is I forgot to turn the hot water heater back to normal. Should you choose to stay again, I will give you a discounted rate. Thank you for being great guests.

Versailles Cottage
The cottage was perfect for our Thanksgiving weekend. Our adult daughter had her personal space and the family room/living room offered us the opportunity to watch holiday movies together. If one is looking for a host that provides plush bath towels and extra comfortable beds this is a property to consider. The kitchen is well stocked and feels like home. Extra detail to cleanliness was evident and appreciated.

Bourbon Trail trip
A group of 4 of us came down to Kentucky to hit the Bourbon Trail. The cottage was the perfect spot. The cottage was cozy with a well quipped kitchen, plenty of towels pillows and linens. John and Carol were great hosts.

Great place for girls get away
This cottage is adorable, and the owners have thought of everything you could want or need. The decor was updated and so comfortable. There were quality sheets and towels and a well stocked kitchen. The location was very convenient for attending Railbird festival, at Keeneland Racecourse. The area is gorgeous, and I hope to return and rebook this adorable cottage. The owners John and Carol were friendly and helpful, but also not intrusive. I would highly recommend this rental cottage.

Bourbon Trail
5 of us spent 3 nights here. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, and the sitting area accommodated all of us. It is located near Kentucky horse farms that were beautiful to look at and close to the various distilleries we were interested in seeing.

The view is unbelievable!
This house is so cute, cozy and the bed is very comfortable. The owners make your stay even better. We had family over one night and made s'mores (the owners left for us) over the fire pit and watched the sunset. The pictures do this house no justice. It's more beautiful in person. We will definitely be back! We loved the peacefulness this place had to it. It's quite and located in the most beautiful area you will ever travel in Kentucky!

Fantastic!
My daughter and I stayed 2 nights at this lovely home while visiting Midway University. It was perfect. Great location. Super clean. Linens all felt new (even the bath mats). The decor and colors are beautiful. The sun room (living room) was so comfortable after a long day of exploring the area. We will definitely stay her again if we return to the area.

The location was close to a great little town called Midway ... don't miss going there on your stay. The only thing missing at this house was a porch or covered area outside to sit. Southern hospitality
This is a lovely home! You can tell a lot of time and detail had been taken to care for this house and in preparation for our stay. The southern hospitality of the owners was quite refreshing, we felt as if we were a part of the family. Everything from activities for the kids, snacks in the fridge and comfy beds; we loved it all!

Cozy Cottage near the University of Kentucky
We would like to thank the Wards for sharing their space with us this weekend. It was simply perfect in every way! The Wards thought, in advance, of every need that a guest might have. We appreciated having the comforts of home. Family weekend at UK was worry-free knowing we had a cozy spot to hang out in once we left the football game and campus activities! It's located about 18 minutes from UK, but the drive through beautiful horse country is well worth the commute!
