“Great stay. Petty Harbour room with private bathroom. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Loved the private bathroom with shower and Native brand shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Breakfast was a definite highlight during which the owner Rob offered recommendations and advice on the local sites, stories, and jokes a plenty. Fantastic location. Would absolutely stay again.”

“Wistful location and a beautiful room. Very large with a nice sitting area, decorated with a spa like touch. Very comfy bed, waffle towels and bathrobe. Local toiletries to make you feel connected to the area. Conveniently located across the street from one of the best restaurants in St John’s the Mallard Cottage. An authentic experience all around with a luxury touch!”

“Nous avons du payer un extra pour le parking de l'hôtel, ce qui est très décevant sachant le prix de la chambre. La moitié des lumières ne fonctionnaient pas et les prises du côté gauche non plus. Le coin était bruyant et le service pas terrible voir même bête. Nous avons été très déçu de notre expérience. Ceci dit, la chambre était très propre et la salle de bain était confortable.”

“The governor was a great place to stay, I’d go there again. I wasn’t thrilled with service in the pub even though I tipped. Maybe regulars are the most important people in there and I can appreciate that. Might need to spend some money on those booth seats cause they’re pretty worn. Other than those things, the governor as a whole is a good place.”
