Best VRBO!!!

I’m not sure where to begin! This property met and exceeded all of our expectations for our vacation to Costa Rica!!! Before we even arrived in Costa Rica Aurturo the house manager was absolutely amazing, he answered all 8 million questions we had before arrival, he arranged transportation to and from the airport, helped us book excursions, rent an additional golf cart, and booked a chef for several meals. Upon arrival we were greeted by the wonderful house staff that were always onsite but never intrusive on our privacy. The house was beautiful, CLEAN, and the location was perfect! Having the golf cart to go to restaurants and the store was awesome. Most everything in town is walkable but much more fun on the golf cart! We basically had the beach to ourselves, the only time we saw more than a handful of people on the beach was at sunset which was gorgeous every night. We travelled with 4 couples and the space was perfect. There is 1 room that is just outside the front door and somewhat separate but it was not at all an issue. Halfway through our stay another group came and stayed in the lower level house, we were a little nervous about sharing our space but it was never an problem. Portrero is a small beach community, if you are looking for a low key beach vacation this is the place to be!

Paradise in Villa Potrero

The property was amazing! Arturo and Marteen made sure we had everything we could possibly need! The house was beautiful and very functional with breathtaking views. It is a perfect place to share wonderful food, drinks and lasting memories We hope to make this paradise in Potrero a place to come for many years!!

A must see property and location!

Upon our arrival the home and grounds were spotless. Everything was in order and exactly as described. The rooms were spread out over two levels, which was ideal when we were sharing the property with more than one renter. My husband and I rented a ground level room which we had our own key for. We barely saw the other family and it felt like our own resort. The pool furniture was very comfortable and enough furniture for everyone. They had comfortable hammocks throughout the property and lounge chairs on the beach. We had access to paddle boards, kayaks and beach toys. Since we hadn’t been to this area in the past we weren’t familiar with the location and the access to the bars and restaurants. Thank you so much to the house host for clear and concise food recommendations. The restaurants were just a walk down the beach and the food was fantastic. Dealing directly with the owners and house staff was easy, email responses were prompts and courteous. These owners obviously take pride in helping provide an excellent experience to their renters. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking in the Playa Potrero area. We will undoubtedly be renting from them again and can’t wait to enjoy it with our children next time.

Incredible beach house

Before staying at Casa Surfside I always said that I preferred mountains over the beach. Staying here changed my opinion on this. This house sits right on the beach, with incredible views of the ocean. Each morning we were paddle boarding by 6am and then back by 7 to have breakfast on the second floor balcony. Because of the proximity to the beach we were able enjoy drinks on the balcony while the kids enjoyed boogie boarding for hours on end. The property manager Arturo, helped us organize all of our activities and is really one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Ziplining, ATV-ing, Mountain biking etc. are all within 15-20 mins away. We had a chef come to the house (organized by Arturo) to cook two breakfasts and two dinners. The food was amazing and the sunsets out of this world. This was truly one of the best vacations that I have ever had. I will definitely be going back.
