“Great place, really cosy. Great location and awesome owner / staff. Best place we have stayed at in the last 2.5 weeks. Highly recommended”

“Clean room, nice staff , live like home.I would love to live here again if I come Lijiang. Mrs Li super helpful for the travel plan!”

“Our family stayed for 3 nights in October, and it was a fantastic experience. The location in the old city was great. There were quite a few delicious restaurants nearby, and it was located a short distance from the busy main area, so felt quieter and more peaceful than the main old town streets. The staff were really a highlight. To say they were helpful would be an understatement. Julia was in touch from before we arrived. Helping to coordinate the complimentary pickup at train station and...

“Small hotel with great atmosphere. We stayed here 6 nights and enjoyed the helpful and kind service. They served breakfast in the mornings and we had tea time in the evenings. Location is really good, close to central of old town but far enough to be calm and quiet.”

“Such a nice place to stay. The guest house is really beautiful. A very nice entryway with a yard full of nice plants and flowers. The hosts and staff are extremely welcoming and helpful, offering plenty of suggestions about the old town and surrounding villages. They helped us as well finding and organizing the ressources for travelling around to traditional villages and the Snow mountain park. A huge thank you to Roxana and Leo for the wonderful experience.”

“We had a pleasant stay. The only issue is that this facility is not easily accessible. When we arrived, we had to walk down a long stairway to get to the lobby. Besides that, everything is fantastic!”

“Great location and very helpful, welcoming host. Would happily stay here again.”

“Access to the hotel needs to be clarified at the lower entrance. And the hotel name - Cloudhaven Retreat (花开花落半山居) needs to be updated. The hotel is using another name right now. ”

“I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and came with excellent amenities, including a nice bathtub and a Japanese bidet toilet. Housekeeping was prompt and consistent every day. A special thanks to Ms. Xiao Qing at the reception. She was very welcoming and went out of her way to help us plan day trips to the best spots in Lijiang. Her local tips made our visit much more enjoyable. The highlight was the breathtaking mountain view from the room — a perfect start to each...

“The accomodation is located within Lijiang Ancient Town. Cars are not allowed to drive within the town and so customers will be required to contact the hotel staff to arrange manual trolley transport of the luggage to the hotel as it is about 5 minutes of walking from the nearest entrance. The room was overall clean with an unique interior design aligned with the ancient town. However, was quite disappointed with the check out experience, as my family had requested in advance for the staff to...

“Clean room with very comfortable bedding, great service, great location.”

“住宿非常乾淨整齊，工作人員服務很周到，早餐也很好吃，價錢合理，非常推薦！”

“Very impressive. The hotel is located at the top of the Old town which gives a spectacular view of the mountains. The room is comfortable and the free minibar is also a plus. The staff were willing to help but couldn't communicate in English which is fine because WeChat can translate everything. The breakfast menu offers a variety of choices but the portions are quite small so we had to order many times and the wait was a bit long. Highly recommended.”

“Excellent séjour au Lanshe Hotel. Le personnel est vraiment aux petits soins malgré la barrière de la langue. Le petit déjeuner est très qualitatif et la situation de l'hôtel parfaite.”

“Breakfast was traditional, but not on property had to walk to other property to eat, short walk, no safe in room to hold items, no iron, as stated 1 minutes walk to old town, property is in old town , had to call to find location, they came and walked us to property, that's why 4 stars , and local person said they have free shuttle to airport, he asked for me and had free shuttle ride the day I left ,”

“This hotel in my mind is average. Cleaness is average but definetly not as in the photos (the photos were possibly took when the rooms are new renovation). Fresh air? Don't expect fresh air, as many hotel guests or people nearby are smoking. Since this hotel is not entirely smoke-free, you'll have to settle for air tinged with the smell of cigarettes. For the location, it locates close to the north gate of Lijiang Ancient City and walking distance approximately 8-10 minutes. Quite a lot of...
