“We enjoyed stepping back in time to admire the unique building style of the 1880's. The room was a little smaller than most hotels, except New York City, but was very comfortable. It was a very pleasant experience staying at the Athenaeum Hotel and very relaxing.

“Upon arrival there was no one at the desk , but the keys to our room were there with our names clearly on them. A phone next to the counter with a sign says pick up if you have any questions. So I did, person answering said we were all set. Room were clean and spacious. Breakfast in the morning was good and plentiful. Would definitely stay here again. Cheers ”

“When arriving on the property there was a groups of people smoking and drinking had to walk around them. There were kids playing everywhere. I sure they are permanent residents at the inn. When I first entered the Inn check-in there were many flies at the front desk the employee would swat them away. Not something one wants to be walking to especially on vacation.
